KM FALLS SHORT
Now Playing: WEST WINS
It was an evenly matched game Friday. Waukesha west got the upper hand, though. After tearing apart the first quarter with two quick touchdowns, the wolverines seemed like the better team, until KM bounced back. Lasers running back Justen Deja scored three unanswered touchdowns to put the laers ahead 18-14. In the middle of the fourth, West made a strong effort to gain back the lead, sending their RB on a thirty yard run into the endzone. The momentum switched back and forth from there. In the final minute of the game, KM found themselves with the ball on the 45 yard line. A small drive led them to the thirty after a quick pass and then a pass interference call on West. With one play left, Lasers coach Mike Fink sent the field goal unit onto the field. The desperation field goal attempt looked good, but fell a foot short of the post. KM lost 21-18. This loss drops their record to 1-2. The lasers are looking for a big win against Catholic Memorial on Friday.
