After almost 1 and a half years, can we look back and say that military action in Afghanistan was in error? A lot of people in the media claim that the people over there hate us for invading Afghanistan and fighting out the Taliban. I think after seeing pictures of people happy over there and the fact that women there get to now go to school kind of negates that opinion. This article even negates it more: http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/06/15/karzai/index.html

Well, the whole "under God" thing in the pledge got thrown out: http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/06/14/scotus.pledge.case.ap/index.html. Sometimes I wonder why liberal agenda attacks these things. I think that there are some left wing ideas that are good, but this ordeal was ridiculous. Why not right nuclear disarmament, or environmental concerns? Why the heck take up time to get "under God" taken out? It's crazy how much America has changed in the last half century. This would have never happened then.

Had a great weekend. Saw Steppford Wives with J.Shan and Tor. Not a movie to watch in the theater. Chilled with Heidi yesterday, went to Nick's UCSD graduation, and then his surprise graduation party.  All in all it was a tiring but good kind of tiring day.

Pistons rocked the Lakers...that was sad. I'm pretty indifferent for both teams as I've said in the past but my Midwest roots back up the Pistons. The Lakers seem too cocky.

So after hanging out with Optometrist John (OJ), I've realized how much more I look forward to going to med school. I wanna start seeing patients, and knowing more about the human body. I wanna be able to tell someone what they should do when they're sick. It seems simple enough to know the basic things - everyone seems to understand the human body in some way...but the intricate details are what will be the breaking point between common knowledge and discovery; life and death. My white coat ceremony (August 14 btw for those who wanna fly out to see me haha jk) can't come soon enough!

Thanks SD'ers for a great weekend.

PS - I got an Ipod!
