Counter-Strike is a FPS(First Person Shooter). It is a MOD for Half-life ovbiously, and is the best mod in half-life i think. When you join a server, you have the choice of being a terrorist, or counter-terrorist. There are many maps you can play on, and many objectives on each of the maps. From defusing a bomb, planting a bomb, rescuing hostages, ect.

When you die once in the round; thats it. You have to wait till the next round to begin combat again. When you die you are put into something called 'observer mode' where you can float around and see people fightning.
