Designing Applications

There are two different entities in Designing Applications
1. Designing Methodologies
2. Applications The better you integrate both the better "Application" you will get.

Development Methodologies:

1. SDLC : This is the old traditional methodology. Where you will start from Requirement Analasys and end with Testing.
2. XP : This is the latest methodology. In this methodology we will start from "UserStories".
"UserStories" means the requirements given by the user. How user uses a perticular functionality.
Start getting all the "User Stories". Write test cases for all "User Stories. Then start Development.

Applications:

In real life the term "Application" means a sequence of steps to perform a task.
We Classified "Applications" into two types.
1. Projects : Project is an "Application" developed for a specific Client.
2. Products : Product is an "Application" developed for any Client. (Any client can use this application)

The Best integration of above two entities:

1. For Projects development SDLC methodology is the best. Because these requirements are fixed.
The better we do the Requirement Analasys, its very easy for the developer to start coding with respect to requirements and end with testing.

2. For Products development XP methodology is the best. In this methodology, if you got more user stories,
you can develop a better product, which will be usefull for more number of end users.
