This page works best with at least 800x600 resolution and a high speed connection!!

However, if you have a regular modem, be patient cause my page is worth the wait!

I really need to take some new pictures, I got some new clothes that I wanna model :). Keep in touch, they'll be up one day

Happy to be nappy, I'm Black and I'm proud, That I have been chosen to wear the conscious cloud
- Donnie "Cloud 9"

BIG UPDATE!!

I'm currently in the process of switching my wardrobe from the usual N.O. wear (White Tees and Jeans) to a more sophisticated style that shows my needed professional in my future field, but with a N.O. twist. This consists of shopping at stores like T.J. Maxx, Marshall's, Ross, Burlington, K&G and the great store, the Internet. So if you see me around, notice a whole new side of me!!

I found this little tool at www.audiomatch.net. It tracks what music I'm listen to when I use WinAmp, so if you happen onto my page, you can here what I'm jamming to....amazing huh? Also if you click on the image, you can see the play list that I listen to...

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE PAGE!!! It’s actually worth reading. If you think anything is missing, then holla at me and I will try to add it.

I got the following passage from The Black Panthers Speak a reader edited by Philip S. Foner. When I read the book I had so many quotes that I wanted to use. However, what I've chosen is the black kids' pledge....check it out ya'll

Black Child's Pledge
by Shirley Williams

I pledge allegiance to my Black People.
I pledge to develop my mind and body to the greatest extent possible.
I will learn all that I can in order to give my best to my People in their struggle for liberation.
I will keep myself physically fit, building a strong body free from drugs and other substances which weaken me and make me less capable of protecting myself, my family and my Black brothers and sisters.
I will unselfishly share my knowledge and understanding with them in order to bring change about more quickly.
I will discipline myself to direct my energies thoughtfully and constructively rather then wasting them in idle hate.
I will train myself never to hurt or allow others to harm my Black brothers and sisters for I recognize that we need every Black man, Woman, and child to be physically, mentally, and psychologically strong. These principles I pledge to practice daily and to teach them to others in order to unite my People.

I saw this quote on my girl Canrenell AOL Profile, and she just became Youth Leadership Coordinator for a Community Center in Baltimore. Congrats!! Anyways, the quote:

Our worst fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be? -Marianne Williamson

BIG props to my boy New Orleans Balla for giving me the crash course in HTML to make my page off the chain!!

This is my world This is who i am And I'm not trying to give up myself To make your life better
-Darius Rucker "This Is My World"

Welcome to my page, ya’ll!!! I’m your host Westley, and welcome to my world. I’m a junior at THE Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College. (You like the whole name huh? LOL) I formerly attended Delta State University in Cleveland, MS (The REAL deep country). I’m also a 2001 graduate of Eleanor McMain Magnet High School, so all the Mustangs give me a holla. I’m currently a Political Science major with a African/African-American Studies minor at LSU. I really want to get the entire African-American learning experience, so I’m taking every Black class they offer there. I figure, if I going to be in school, I might as well learn about my people and learn the ways to help them politically. Speaking about politics, if you have political ambitions or just like to talk about them, then write me and we’ll talk about it

I know I can (I know I can) Be what I wanna be (be what I wanna be) If I work hard at it (If I work hard it) I'll be where I wanna be (I'll be where I wanna be) -Nas “I Can”

I can’t lie, that’s my song. What do I want to be in 10-15 years? Hopefully, I’ll either be a state representative or mayor of a majority African-American city (New Orleans is #1 choice) Why? I see everyday reminders that Black life in New Orleans, the state of Louisiana , and the United States isn’t NEARLY what everybody wants it to be. The thing is, unlike most people who talk about the problems, I plan to be right in the middle fixing it. I’ve realized that I have my own problem: I want people to be happy and I’m willing to do whatever, even duck for other people, so that they and I can be happy. Hey, I’m dealing with my problem in the best way: I’m gonna fix the whole world, if I can!!!!

"Ignorance is correctable but stupidity is forever." -My friend LaMariposaNegra mother

Pretty soon, I'll be starting an essay series on my opinions on African-American life and issues. So ya'll keep coming back for that, ok?

If you don't think it could happen think again my son, Be prepared for the worst that's yet to come ,We want freedom, prophecies and ancient wisdom, Cataclsym, niggas be like fuck the system ,I don't wanna be no movie star……I don't wanna drive no fancy car…….I just wanna be free, to live my life, to live my own life-Dead Prez “We Want Freedom”

Why do I have that verse, because I believe that we need revolution in order to make African-American life better in the U.S. We must stop using the guns against our fellow people and turn them to our enemies. If we can become united as one, then we can get the reforms that we need to pull ourselves out of the hole we’ve been in since 1776. If you think I’m tripping, think about this: During the 1960s when the Black Panthers were organizing a potential revolution, the FBI decided to attack the Panthers and destroy them. Read the FBI CONINTELPRO documents for yourself...........CONINTELPRO Documents on Black Panthers

"But black people, this day, this time say HALT IN THE NAME OF HUMANITY! YOU SHALL MAKE NO MORE WAR ON UNARMED PEOPLE. YOU WILL NOT KILL ANOTHER BLACK PERSON AND WALK THE STREETS OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY TO GLOAT ABOUT IT AND SNEER AT THE DEFENSELESS RELATIVES OF YOUR VICTIMS. FROM NOW ON, WHEN YOU MURDER A BLACK PERSON IN THIS BABYLON OF BABYLONS, YOU MAY AS WELL GIVE IT UP BECAUSE WE WILL GET YOUR ASS AND GOD CAN'T HIDE YOU" -The Black Panther March 23,1968

These are my two heros. On the left is Fred Hampton, former leader of the Chicago Chapter of the Black Panther Party at age 20. He was killed in 1969 by the FBI in it's plan to destroy the BPP. On the right is Kwame Kilpatrick, current mayor of Detroit. He is only 32, but the leader of a major U.S city.

One of the newest pictures of me. I standing in front of the New Orleans East sign near Jazzland. Don`t I look swole? LOL

SweetTigress101: you're really smart, I REALLY like that about you
SweetTigress101: we can clown, but damnit, I can also have a deep conversation wtih you, I like that a lot

The52thProphet: aw shucks...........
The52thProphet: what else

SweetTigress101: you're obviously a man that respects any female he deals with, you are very aware of what you say and you keep others feelings in mind, i like that as well

The52thProphet: cool

SweetTigress101: basically you're a dime with cool hair, LOL

- my girl sweet_tigress talking about me on June 27 at 3:30 am

“mocha complection
With the sexiest expression
Curly hair and dreadlocks
Very nice phisique, looks and clothes
He looked at me i looked at him
He asked me what i was thinking
Because he was so beautiful
I didnt know what to say to him”
-
Destiny’s Child “Perfect Man”

That verse right there is what happens when women look at me, LOL. I’m just messing ya’ll. I haven’t given you any description of how I look. Yes, I have pictures, which you can see by clicking here. Anyways, I’m 6’4” 255 lbs of mostly muscle. I have black dreadlocks that stop at the middle of my neck and brown eyes. I have a mocha complex and I sport the long sideburns as you can see. I have a 38 inch waist, but I wear 42 pants because of my midsection being larger then the rest of my body. I’m slightly bowlegged and I wear a size 15 shoe. So you can read, I’m swole fa real!! LOL. The reason why I’m so big is because I played football, which I’m getting to now.

This is me at the 2000 Orleans-Jefferson Parish All Star Game. Yeah, I was that good!! I did ok in this game, I had 5 tackles.

“Sunday mornin, makes me feel so Godly, pardon me, if I shake your soul..”-OutKast “Sole Sunday”

I’d been playing football since 7th grade at McMain, and it’s been a non-stop 8 year journey that I’ve chosen to finally end. I’ve had some great memories (McMain beating Kennedy my senior year, making the All-Star team, signing with the DII National Champion Delta State Statesman, upset setting 2 rankedteams this past season.) and bad (losing to Cohen with a playoff berth on the line, going 4-7 with DSU the past year, playing on bad teams at McMain.) but through it all I had fun. My situation at Delta State was becoming shady, and I ain’t the one to put up with B.S. if I don’t have to. So I’ve retired from football for now. Maybe in a year or two, you’ll see me as awalk-on at LSU. But till then, you can feast on my career stats.

High School: 31 games played, 21 starts (21 at defensive end, 10 at offensive guard and 10 at offensive tackle) 89 tackles, 50 tackles for loss, 19 sacks (12 my senior year) 1 TD, 2 safeties (both my senior year) overall grade of 88% offensive blocking, two time all-district selection at defensive end, 2000-2001 2nd team All-State 4A Team, 2000-2001 Orleans Parish All-Star Selection. Voted Most Outstanding Player in 2000-2001
College: 19 games played, 2 starts (9 games played at nose guard and 10 played at defensive end) 14 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, voted special teams player of the week once.

2001 & 2002 Gulf South Conference All-Academic Team

If you look like this, PLEASE holla at me. These women is so sexy to me. I love her dreadslocks, I love their music..... just heaven on earth

“Why are all the good girls taken every time And why do I keep fallin’ for someone else’s dime Every time love says, “Hello” then they say, “Goodbye” So why are all you good girls…..taken every time“-Joe “Good Girls”

Yep, ya’ll just don’t know how many times I’ve thought that verse over the last 3 months. Everytime I have a woman that’s worth trying to know, I find out that somebody else is with her. I’m not one to encourage cheating on my fellow black man, because: 1- The shit’s just not cool and 2- If she’ll do it once, she’ll do it again. Anyways, I’m looking for a woman that can just amaze me, and it take a lot to do that. Now, I’ve had a infamous list of things I look for in a soul mate. Over the past years, I’ve added a few, but they have remained constant. However, just because they are up here doesn’t me I follow them to the letter, just a guideline. I mean, I’ve messed with a woman 5’0” 130 lbs brown skinned, one 5’5” 125 red bone and one 6’0” 150 dark skinned so I have no preference. (But if you’re a fine, tall, intelligent, black women athlete, you get points. LOL)
What I look for in a soul mate

1. She got 2 believe in a singular higher being (such as God or Allah)

2.Can be any skin color (red, brown, mocha or whatever) but she gotta be BLACK.

3. Has to be intelligent because I like to discuss what I read, hear and watch and I would like to be intellectually challenged by my soul mate. Hopefully, my soulmate will be able to talk to me about a variety of subjects. From politics to cooking to love to racism, my soulmate should be very intelligent.

4. She has 2 love R&B music especially slow love jams

5. She has to have some time of looks because while looks aren't EVERYTHING, nobody wants someone that doesn’t have some sort of attractiveness.

6. She has 2 like sports and be willing 2 go 2 sporting events.

7. She understands that LOVE DON`T COST A THING. so in that, we can just have fun by chilling of a sofa and listen 2 music (nothing else)

8. On that note, she is a person who is not quick, easy or a ho. However, I like to touch and tease and such, and I like a woman who’s the same way. If things develop more then that, well……

9. She is mature, but also has a crazy side too. I mean, what`s a soulmate without a sense of humor?

10. She has to have some kind of thickness. I don’t mean 5’3”180. I mean 5’8” 140, 5’11 150, 5’5” 130. That kind of thickness.

11. She can have an afro-centrical side to her. I mean that can be a turn on to see some natural hair (afro or locks).

12. She has to be able to realize that I`m still young and learning. I won’t pressure you do try to be something that you’re not because I don’t want to be with you to change you, I want to be with YOU.

13. She has to have common sense. Most people don`t realize that common sense can get someone a LONG way in life.

Just remember this comic strip next time you looking for a mate, lol

Well how can you help it..talking to an idiot is like painting without a brush..no matter how you try, that piece of wood will always be the same -MemphisShiek at 7:56 pm on July 8th

I saw this on my boy 504PlatinumBoy's page. It's the Three Elements of Sex, and since some on ya'll that are looking at my page are freaks, I had to appease ya'll

The Three Elements of Sex :

Romance: I am a romantic person, yet I am Devious, I like to pamper my man before he dives into the depths of my soul. I am into four-play, I like to give and receive massages. The mood must be right, nothing like a room lit by candles with soft music playing in the background.

Mental: Sex starts in the mind, If I can, I’ll get you to the point of no return with only my words. Not only thus, but my mind has to want you too.

Physical / Chemical: I must be physically attracted to you, not only looks wise, but attract you your mind, and maybe your soul.

There must be chemistry between us, I want to look at you and get the feeling that I must have you, and once I do, I want to be able to hold you and contain our energies into a chemical reaction that causes us to play again….

I came across a page on BP, and it had the best description of a black woman that I've seen. So with kcreindgo's permission, I put it on my page....enjoy!!

YOU KNOW SHE IS A FINE BLACK WOMAN IF" ...

She is disciplined and FAMILY oriented...

She is proud of her HERITAGE and promotes it rather than tries to camouflage it...

She knows the value of an EDUCATION and is always actively seeking to further her own as well as others...

She patronizes Black ART, MUSIC and LITERATURE...

She is working towards a goal of SELF-IMPROVEMENT in order to advance HUMANITY rather than burden it...

She has a NURTURING spirit and can SOOTHE even the deepest wounds...

She can LEAD as aptly as she follows...

She takes the utmost PRIDE in her appearance, yet she is not vain...

She has the COURAGE to speak out against INJUSTICES and actively seeks their immediate end...

She has the utmost respect for other Cultures... Beyond her faith, wisdom, and love, she is a pillar of trust...

She knows she is FREE only because she has a DREAM...

She is not afraid of FAILURE, for she is living proof of "what does not kill you will make you stronger"...

She keeps material things in the right PERSPECTIVE...

She has the utmost respect for PROUD Black men...

She is at PEACE with God, whatever she conceives the Creator to be.....

This is Jaguar Wright. Her CD was tight, but nobody bought except me and three other people. She still cool. Check her out.

“Music is the soul of the man. Music makes a, happy day. Music makes a, cloud flow by baby. Your music is my tears in-side my eyes. Your music makes me want to sing. Girl music, is a joy to bring. Music is my heart and soul, more precious than gold” -Marvin Gaye “Music”

Music is my second life, it’s my heart. I love it to death because a good song can make my day. I’ve also put enough money in it In 2001, when I used to buy CDs on a regular basis, I had a collection that was worth $2,000. Not anymore, especially when you let people borrow shit. Now, I just download what I like, but I still buy CDs, mostly Neo-Soul. My musical taste cover all bases from Pop, Hard Rock, Jazz, Blues, Latin and even House music. (A trip to Cancun will make you like ANY kind of music, believe me.) My favorite genre is Neo-Soul. I’m just a old soul, so I love that retro feel. Alicia Keys, Musiq Soulchild, Jill Scott, Jaguar Wright, D’Angelo, Angie Stone, Lina, Jonell, Maxwell, Vivian Green, Donnie and others. Right now, my jam is "Gettin Late" by Floetry. Just in case you didn't know, Floetry is a GREAT R&B group that ya'll need to check out
"Just cause I love my niggas,(Grown Azz Men) I shed blood for my niggas. (You betta know) Let a nigga holla, "Where my niggas?" (Get down or lay down) All I wanna hear is, "Right here my niggas." (We here nigga)" -reprise of DMX`s "My Niggas

My Grown Azz Men. The past two and a half years has saw a lot of changes with us. Cornel’s tied down, I have long hair, Gilbert’s not asexual anymore, Vashon’s in APO and Philip’s still holding it down. However, our friendship has and will stand the test of time. Just remember the party at XU in 2001, the foam parties at the Wherehouse (they need to bring em’ back) Bayou Classic 2001, when somebody was gonna say “Hey, Darling” to a female and Cornel almost caught an aneurysm from laughing so hard. Ya’ll do ya thing, all right. All ya’ll checking my page out, hit up the Grown-Azz-Men page and their page’s too, ok?
