Someone said to me one day, why do you worry so. I
replied: Tis not the case, I seek somehow to know. When I see a
bird in flight, I marvel of his way Wondering the reason, why,
doth fill my every day.
Someone said of me one day, you must
have faith in things. Question not, but simply take the value
that life brings I replied: My motives, pure and deep within my
soul, Yearns a feeling I endure and wisdom I extoll.
Someone said, but who are you, a
poor lad in the test To seek of wisdom from your place, is sure
in failing rest I replied: I cannot say, what mysteries
abound Courage be my only tool, I will in that be
found.
Someone laughed
at me one day and turned an angry face Seek ye not to wonder why,
you fool in common trace I replied: My raiment not, reveals the
whole of me Seeking, I avoid the plot that others state will
be.
I confess, I know
not why, I ponder that which seems, By faith accepted as our lot,
in me are ageless dreams. What is out beyond the sky, but stars
by name are known Who pulls all the strings in man, to shape a
thought full grown
What
is love, that tender sprout that fells the strongest will Who
turns off the light of day , and why do souls lie still When is
tomorrow, and when did it become a thought called
yesterday. Nothing ends or dies in fact, but simply goes
away.
 And the children
of my world, what measure is performed Some with health and
others torn, the moment they are born. Who decides that some may
see the glory of a sun, While others live in darkness, brought by
eyes that never run.
 Sad
is not this tale I spin, nor is my wish to say I could weave a
note more pure, or judge another way Merely that to understand
this journey not obscure But in reason understood, that all
things might be pure.
