Stations 40-41-42 - Lafitte, Barataria, Crown Point VFC

The Lafitte, Barataria, Crown Point VFC covers the three identified communities in lower Jefferson Parish. Their area is primarily rural residential as well as the fishing industry and boat yards. Lafitte has one neighboring fire company, Marrero/Estelle and the area is surrounded by water and Jean Lafitte National Park.


This is the fire chief from Lafitte-Barataria-Crown Point FD vehicle. Its a 2004 Dodge Quadcab "Hemi". Hope you all have some oil wells for the fuel.

A 1996 Ford/Ferrara serves as Lafitte's rescue truck.

Engine 418 is 1979 Mack CF and one of three Macks still working with the Lafitte, Barataria, Crown Point VFC located south of Marrero, LA in bayou country. This truck is maintained by Operator Morris in Barataria.

This 1000 gallon pumper is used almost like a tanker because of the water tank size. Engine 438, a 1985 Grummen, is assigned to the Lafitte main station for the time being.

The first engine of the Lafitte Fire Department is this 1950 International on display out front of the new station in downtown Lafitte along LA-45. Plans may be in the works to refurb the truck and getting it going for parades.

This Ford 4x4 is privately owned by the President of the fire department and was once owned by Marerro-Regusa VFD.

Engine 408 is one of three I believe Grummen telesqurts with the Lafitte, Barataria, Crown Point VFC. It has a 50' boom.
