On Wednesday, June 16, 2004, the Hollywood HS Sheik Marching Band performed during the Olympic Torch Relay at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Ellen Degeneres was one of the torch carriers for the Hollywood area. In addition, the Honorary Mayor of Hollywood, Johnny Grant, was there to present the band. Other local politicians such as Councilmember Eric Garcetti attended this event too; as well as Shrek, Princess Fiona, Elvis, Batman, and a few others. Among the songs performed were "The Way You Move," "Bad Fanfare," "HHS Stone," "Montero," "Hooray for Hollywood," and more.
