Silverstar Casino, Philadelphia, Mississippi -- what you really want and need in a suite at last!

Now we're talking. Here's a casino that's living in the real world and can identify with the needs of the heavy hittin' high roller stressed out from a rough day of shoving purple chips across the felt. The Silverstar Casino in Philadelphia, Mississippi is located on the Choctaw reservation, but we're not talkin' one of your dry, boring, alcohol-free slot hells. Silverstar is the real thing. This isn't just another two bedroom, two bathroom suite, no sir-ree. This is a two HOT TUB suite. Whoa! The Choctaws just seem to know what's important in life!

The photo above shows the hot tub in the master bath. Here's the tub in the second bath:

While we're on the topic of the great bathrooms, here's the acre of vanity space in the master bath:

The second bath is not as spacious although it is nothing too shabby.

Here's the living room:

And here's the kitchenette area.

Here's the master bedroom:

Here's the second bedroom:

I've forgotten the exact telephone count. There were 6 or 7 of them. There were 3 large TVs. And here's the gift basket:

That's a very highly questionable Zinfandel, but hey, you can't have everything, or we might have thought we'd died and gone to heaven.

The view is worth a giggle too. Rather than the flat and unimpressive town of Philadelphia, we overlook the casino with some fake trees growing inside of it.

OK, you're thinking, it looks good, but can it really be that good? What's the catch? There's no catch here, no mind games being played by the hosts or the staff. We're talking a fantastic customer service ethic. I don't feel I should single out anyone by name on a public page, but this casino has some super hosts who actually understand that it's their job to keep the VIP guest happy. The steakhouse, Philip M's, knows what to do with a steak, too. A new hotel and more restaurants are planned for the future. If they're up to the standards of the original, I for one will be impressed.

UPDATE: Those who "count" will already know this, but purple chips ("Barneys) are $500 chips. Orange chips ("Pumpkins") are $1000 chips. Casinos are not obligated to conform to this standard -- Caesar's/Las Vegas with its wimpy pinks and whites is a notable exception -- but it's a good rule of thumb.
