Waikiki Meatballs

These are YUMMY!!!!

1 1/2 pounds ground turkey or beef
2/3 cup cracker crumbs or bread crumbs
1/3 cup minced onion
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ginger

2 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 can (13 oz) pineapple tidbits
1/3 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/3 cup chopped green pepper

For meatballs:
Mix ingredients well and shape into 1 inch meatballs. Brown in a tablespoon of butter in frying pan. Cook through. Remove from pan and keep warm.

For sauce:
Drain pineapple tidbits, reserving juice, and set aside. Mix cornstarch, sugar, reserved pineapple juice, vinegar, and soy sauce. Stir until smooth. Pour into frying pan and heat until mixture thickens. Boil one minute. Add meatballs, pineapple, and green pepper, heat through.
