-You start out with $300,000.
-Be nice to other members and me :)
-No sending chain letters to members, this is taking advantage of me putting their email addresses on the site.
-If you have a complaint, don't be afraid to tell me! I don't bite, and it's my job to keep this site enjoyable.
-All members if Stride will have to keep track of their records.
-The game runs on real time.
-Remember that it's just a game, and we're here to have fun!
Horses
-Horses must have a vet and farrier visit every 3 months.
-You can have up to 50 horses if you are a boarder and 150 horses if you own a barn.
-All horses can begin training, breed, and be entered in riding classes in shows at the age of three.
-All horses must be registered in the All Breed Registry in order to exist on HS.
-You can own as many horses as you want, as long as you take care of them.
-When horses turn 25, they must stop showing and breeding. They can be put in a retirement home from 25 until they are 30. If a 30-year-old horse isn't put in a retirement home, they will be deleted from the game.
The list of animals allowed in Stride (besides horses and ponies) as of February, 2005 is as follows:
Donkeys
Miniature Donkeys
Mules
-No unicorns or other mythical creatures are allowed.
Businesses
-You can create as many businesses as you want!
-You must pay to get a store location and to keep it stocked.
-When you make a business, keep it original. We don't want to have 20 tack shops! Make up your own ideas, designs, and products; and remember to keep it fun!
Registries/Associations
-You can create as many associations and registries as you can handle.
-You can be creative here; pretty much any kind of association is allowed to be created. (e.g. Hunter/Jumper Assoc., Pony Assoc., etc) With registries, they have to be just something to register horses/other animals in. (e.g. Donkey Registry, Appaloosa Registry, Western Horse Registry)
-There isn't a limit to how many registries your horse can be in!
-To start a registry or association, there must be at least 20 animals that can benefit from the association.
Breeding
-Horses can be bred from the age of 3.
-I will determine the foal's height, color, and breed. The owner of the foal can come up with the name.
-Horses can have as many foals as the owner wants in their lifetime.
-After the mare is determined pregnant, she has a gestation period of 2 weeks. The foal can be born late, or it could be premature. Twins are also possible.
-When the foal is born, it can be speed aged up to 3 years plus the birthyear of the youngest parent. For example, say you breed a 1997 stallion and a 1995 mare. The stallion is the youngest parent, so 3 yrs + 1997=2000. The oldest that the foal can be is 2000.
Showing
-You can create as many shows as you want.
-All shows must be held at a stable or show ground.
That's the rules! If you have any questions contact Stephanie.
