The Rules

The library is open to students before, during and after each school day, from 7:40 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. It is equipped and staffed to assist and support learning for all students.

The library is to be used for research and study using library books, magazines, newspapers, reference materials and online databases.

All students must check out when they leave the library so as to control the loss of library books and materials.

Passes to the library are required. They will be issued in the library before the period intended for use and must be presented upon entering the library.

The library is designed and furnished as a quiet place to do serious work, reading and research individually at study carrels or at tables. IT IS NOT TO BE USED FOR SMALL GROUP CONVERSATIONS.

More than 20,000 volumes comprise the library print collection. Reference materials, classroom reserve materials, magizines, newspapers and online databases supplement the collection.

Ten (10) workstations with networked printers are available for student research use. Students must abide by the Acceptable Use Policy for Computer Use.

Students are responsible for the payment of lost or damaged library material and equipment.

Students who deface any library materials or furnishings will pay restitution costs and be subject to detention.

No food or drink is allowed in the Library.
