About the Instructor
Laura Poore became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor in 2004. She is currently an active member of Infant Massage USA. She also has a Master's degree in physical therapy, and is a licensed physical therapist in the state of California. She has spent 6 years working as a pediatric physical therapist in a school setting in San Diego, with vast experience in typical and atypical development of children. She has worked extensively with children with various neurological and orthopedic impairments, including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, developmental delay, genetic disorders, neuromuscular conditions, and other special needs. She feels strongly that her knowledge of development from a therapeutic viewpoint is very beneficial to her massage instruction. She strives to promote optimal family bonding, infant development, and healthy lifestyles through her infant massage classes.
