![]() "To Live and Work in L.A." is published and copyrighted by Amphion Productions, Inc., a film and video production company in Los Angeles. Since forming Amphion Productions Inc.in 1991, writer/producer Sara Caldwell has worked on over 150 film, television, video, CD-ROM, webcast, and satellite teleconference projects for national and international clients such as the Discovery Health Channel, Chip Taylor Communications, and Jack Morton Worldwide. Sara has written numerous articles on the screenwriting process and is co-author of the book, So You Want to be a Screenwriter: How to Face the Fears and Take the Risks, published by Allworth Press. Sara has received many awards for her work, including a first place in the Illinois Chicago Screenwriting Competition and a Golden Apple in the International Educational Film & Video Festival. She received her B.A. in Communications from the University of Iowa, where she was a member of the Iowa Writer's Workshop. To Live and Work in L.A. was first conceived in 1997 when Sara moved her company from Chicago to Los Angeles on a wing and a prayer and wished that such a resource had been available then. ![]() Writer/producer/director Thad Vassmer has been in love with the movies his whole life. He first formed his company Greentown Productions while a student at Columbia College in Chicago. The first Greentown production was his 1987 thesis film "Aphasia Ain't Bad," lensed by 2-time Oscar winner Janusz Kaminski. Thad went on to helm literally hundreds of film and video projects for major companies such as Arthur Andersen and Accenture, winning over 40 industry awards for outstanding writing nd directing. Thad has also won first place in the 1996 Illinois Screenwriting Competition, and placed in the top five in the 1998 Beckenridge Screenwriting Competition and the 2000 Illinois Screenwriting Competition. ![]() Romanian artist and website designer Vasile Stoica graduated from the Art School of Lugoj in 1991. His artwork has been showcased around the world, predominantly in Romania, France, Australia, and the United States. He is an annual participant in the Cabrini Connections International Art Festival, an event that raises funds for disadvantaged youth in Chicago. Vasile has designed websites for numerous international companies, including Gralfia of Germany and Romania. An eight-time wheelchair marathon champion in Romania, Vasile is best known in his country for being the first disabled Romanian to travel Around The World by manual wheelchair in 1999.
