The Forest of Art

Lacey walked through a deep forest. There are beautiful sunflowers all around. Huge boulders sit in the rocky and hilly forest, and on them are great paintings of dragons.

"These are ancient art depictions of the dragons that used to live around here. The last one is a favorite... I think the story is that a very old dragon lived in the Caves of Treasure. One day, thieves came and raided the treasure while he was asleep, and stole the dragon's egg to sell. When the dragon awoke, it flew to the village where the egg had been taken. It burned the entire village down once it found the egg - it had been cracked open. It's a sad story...

I want to show Akari all these pictures. Because each of them have a story. I just know bits and pieces of them, but I could tell what I know. It might be fun...

Later...

"Look at them, Akari!" said Lacey, smiling. "Aren't they nice?"

Akari nodded. "Yes. They are wonderful. Each have a story, you say?"

"Yes." Lacey replied. "I've told you the one about the Fire Dragon, though..."

Akari stared at the last picture, it reflected in her eyes. "Sad." she said. "But I think the dragon was in the right, I mean."

Lacey's surprised face looked at Akari.

"I mean... If someone had taken me, what would you have done?" she asked, with a clever smile.

"Probably the same thing, only without the fire and destruction..."

"I'd tear apart a village if they took something that I loved." said Akari.
