THE NEW HACKS!

The Ultimate Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle Two Two: New January 23, 2012! My second hack for the Game Boy game The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2, with twenty-nine more challenging all new levels! Lots of fun new ideas abound here for those Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2 lovers out there! Edit January 25, 2012: fixed link. Should work now.

Shouldn't I be inside the castle? . Wonder what our little martian friend is guarding. . Pepé le Pew, who wasn't in the first hack!

Frank's Ultimate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, NES: Updated November 3, 2011! Pretty much complete! Everything except the underwater area of Level 2 is done! If I can ever do anything with that. But what's here are new levels for an already challenging game, made even more challenging. The first three levels start fairly tame, but the difficulty takes a sharp turn upward from there!

Dam frog! Tricky jumps over lava-ish stuff. The ladder from Hell.

THE GOOD HACKS

I am quite proud of the following hacks. The letter grade following is my opinion on how good the hack is, and let it be known that I may be my harshest critic. Still, regardless of how I personally feel about each hack, any hack I've ever offered is listed below, including some I'd rather forget I'd ever made. Heh.

The Ultimate Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2, Game Boy: The very first level hack for The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2. All twenty-nine levels are changed, making for a new, tougher experience. Those of you who loved the original are sure to love this one as well! A+

Little crowded here. . On the ropes. . Daffy Duck can't get me! Nyah!

The Ultimate Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle, NES: The very first level hack for The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle. All sixty levels are changed, as well as the four special stages. In retrospect, some of the level designs are weak, but others are among the best levels yet! A-

Upstairs, downstairs. Lots of bricks. Pipe dream.

The Second Ultimate Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle, NES: Not only the second hack for the game I personally created, but also the very second level hack for the game, period! All sixty levels are once again changed, as well as the four special stages, which can now only be accessed via password. Overall, I feel this set of levels is stronger than in my first hack for the game, though I'd still recommend playing both. If you only want to play one, though, then this should be that one. A+

I'm about to die, aren't I? Wiggle like the worm you are, Sam! Being chased.

The Ultimate Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle, Game Boy: For those of you who prefer the Game Boy version of The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle to the NES version, this game is for you! Eighty of the strongest levels from my two hacks of the NES version were chosen for this game, making Game Boy versions of those eighty levels, which can all be played here! A

Deja vu? . Daffy Duck is off-screen, I guess. . Dying Yosemite Sam is missing. Hmph!

Frank's Super Super Mario Land, Game Boy: The first, and to this day, still only hack that changes all the levels in Super Mario Land! Normal mode and hard mode are both edited. Normal mode can be enjoyed by all, but for those seeking a real challenge, once you beat the normal mode, you can pull out your hair with hard mode! A+

Scary inside the pyramid. . Giant submarine-crushing rocks! . Litty bitty platforms to get across.

Frank's Super Super Mario Bros. 3, NES: The first... actually, no. Not the first. Nowhere near the first, even. Still, while admittedly not number one, it is one of the better Super Mario Bros. 3 hacks out there, as well as, by far, the better of the two Super Mario Bros. 3 hacks made by me. Not much has changed graphically, but the game consists of almost a hundred brand new levels, most of which are tough, but fair. B+

Fire! Mario is secretly peeing here. What's he doing outside?

Frank's Third Ultimate Super Mario Bros. 1, NES: Definitely not first, but easily one of the best "traditional" Super Mario Bros. 1 hacks around! The graphics are changed a little, but the levels themselves present twenty all-new challenges! The first quest shouldn't be too too difficult, but the second quest was made specially different from the normal mode for an extra hair-pulling challenge! A-

Ooh, red Piranha Plant. The ever-popular shell game. Will Mario make it?!

The Ultimate Zombies Ate My Neighbors, SNES: It's not perfect: some levels have some graphical hiccups, and I wasn't able to change the titles, but the levels are all-new, and the game itself is tougher than ever! If you liked the original, have your hand at this one! B+

The first level, and already a castle! Sheesh! This girl stuck you up back in high school, so just let her get abducted. Bad place for a picnic.

JOINT HACKS

The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2: Mayhem Edition, Game Boy: Seven years after the first level hack for this game comes a second one! The level designs are all made by willj168, so thank him if you like the levels. I did the grunt work--i.e. the hex editing. So with a joint effort, after years and years, a second Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle 2 hack for you to enjoy! The levels get quite difficult as you get further into the game, though willj168's brand of diabolical level design is not the same as my brand of diabolical level design, as you may soon see.

I'm safe from them. I hope. . Attack of the Daffy Duck clones! . Will I get to kill someone with this weight here?

THE LESSER HACKS

I am... well, less proud of these following hacks. Nonetheless, there may be someone out there who liked them, and I wouldn't want to deprive anyone of them. Just be warned that these hacks are not necessarily as good as the ones above.

Frank's Super Mario Land, Game Boy: The levels aren't changed, but the enemies are! It's a fun hack I had made before I figured out the level structure for the game, before I was able to completely change the levels, but all that's different here are the enemies. It's by no means bad, but just know that the enemies are all that's different here. C

Same 1-1, but with Bunbuns! . Same 2-2, but more Mekabons! . More Pompon Flowers, too!

Frank's First Super Mario Bros. 3, NES: My first Super Mario Bros. 3 hack, as well as far, far inferior to the second. It's harder, but in a bad way, and the levels are a lot closer to the original levels than in the second hack. About the best thing I can say about this hack is that it's not the worst Super Mario Bros. 3 hack I've ever played, but still.... D

Wow. One could hardly tell this used to be 1-5. Whee! Dodging flying Cheep-Cheeps on tiny slippery platforms! One of the stupidest, worst levels in the history of Super Mario Bros. 3 hacks. You're given infinite time for a VERY good reason here.

Frank's First Ultimate Super Mario Bros. 1, NES: My first "ultimate" Super Mario Bros. hack. It's pretty good, really, but absolutely pales in comparison to the third one. Still, if you liked that one, and are looking for more of the same, this is a pretty good bet. It has 28 levels instead of 20, essentially meaning the levels are stretched out thinner. Which means, overall, they're not quite as interesting. B-

Tree for Two. Paint it black. The scary castle.

Frank's Second Ultimate Super Mario Bros. 1, NES: My second "ultimate" Super Mario Bros. hack. These 28 levels are a little better than the first, but not nearly as good as the third. Still, if you want more of the same, you can't go wrong here! B

The standard 2-3ish sort of level. Gotta' kill Lakitu, right? Why doesn't the water put the fire out, anyway?

Frank's First Super Mario Bros. 1, NES: Not to be confused with the ultimate series, this was the very first hack I'd ever released online... and it shows. There's a lot that really needed improvement here, really. Still, if you've played the whole Ultimate series, and want 32 more levels... well, just don't raise your expectations too much. D+

Bullet Bill Bonanza. Lame way to practically force Mario to slow down. Far more difficult a jump than it looks. And that's saying something.

Frank's Second Super Mario Bros. 1, NES: My second Super Mario Bros. 1 hack, and one of my earliest hacks. It's even harder than the first... probably too hard. Still, if you want these 32 levels, you can play 'em. D+

How am I supposed to get the question blocks? Flying fish underwater. Joy. Flying fish while dodging Bullet Bills. More joy.

Frank's Super Mario World, SNES: DISCONTINUED! Probably my most famous hack, whether or not I really want it to be. Probably helps that it was one of the very first hacks for a very popular game. It's not a very good hack, though. There are some good ideas thrown in, and I still love the secret Donut Ghost House, but as a whole, it's just way, way too hard, and a lot of other people have done a lot better with this game than I ever could... unless you have a need to play every single Super Mario World hack you can find, or you love downright sadistic level design, you may want to pass this one. It's only finished through World 5. D+

Iggy's Castle. The first half is a legitimate bright spot in the game. The original alphabet maze. You either love them or hate them. I love them. Butter Bridge 2 is one of the few tough-as-nails levels that's hard for all the right reasons.

Frank's Third Super Mario Bros. 1, NES: DISCONTINUED! My third Suer Mario Bros. hack, and my worst. It's all tree levels! It doesn't really sustain itself, though. Gets old quick. Still, if you're a completist, and want to play all of my Super Mario Bros. hacks, it's here for you. It's only complete up to 7-3. F

Underground trees... not underground, or something. Extremely boring, flat 'castle.' Yeesh. Flying fish underwater... with trees!

Frank's Super Mario Bros. 2, NES: DISCONTINUED! Well, Super Mario Bros. 2 is a surprisingly underhacked game. Even so, you may wish to skip this one: it's just not that good. The levels, for the most part, aren't changed a lot. There are a few bright spots sprinkled in, notably the boss in 5-3... just could've used more of those bright spots. The game is only complete up to 5-3, so at least it ends in a bit of a bang, I guess. D-

The new 3-1. A palette swap and a Shyguy replaced with a Snifit. Whoopee. The new 4-3! Can you spot the difference between this and the original 4-3? A palette swap and some spike changes. Really went all out with this hack, didn't I?
