7/6/08 - Welcome to Danielle's Bookshelf, where you will find stories written by me, Danielle Frances Ducrest. Available at this site is the broadest sample of my prose fiction. Some of the stories archived here were written when I was 12 (in 1998). Other stories could be less than a month or a week old, written and published at the age of 22 (in 2008). A good deal of the fiction at this site is fan fiction. I've recently graduated with a BA in Creative Writing, but I still regularly write and publish fan fiction stories.

8/28/04 - I've won 1st place in the 11th-12th grade division of the Louisiana Writes! Youth Writing Contest for Colin and the Key! I'll actually have a story published in a book! Of paper! Woohoo! I also won 3rd place in the 11th-12th grade division for the same story in the Writes of Spring contest!

8/28/04 - I've just been nominated for the White Knight Awards in the Best Overall Author category, which I think is just great! Whoever nominated me, thank you!

8/20/04 - I've won Runner Up for Most Unique Plot for 'Entity of Seven' in the 12th round of the Shades of Grey Awards! It's not first place, but it's still my first award recieved in any on-line awards, so I'm happy.
