 Fall 2008 Family Cub-o-Ree

Come to Enjoy Family, Fun, and Scouting

*_TO: ALL CHAPPEPEELA DISTRICT CUB SCOUT PACKS_*

Attached, please find the Fall Cub-o-Ree Booklet, which includes the registration form (page 13). Please note that the registration, head count and $$ is due by 10/10/08 at our last planning meeting before our event. This meeting will be held at Brady's Restaurant in Hammond, on

10/10/08 @ 7:00 PM. Please make sure your Pack has at least one representative attending our meeting in order to complete our plans for this event and get a final head count.

I also wanted everyone to know that the Tigator Camping area has bathroom/shower facilities, including 12 shower stalls and (2) additional bathrooms in Perkins Lodge that will be available to us for the weekend. Also, please make sure everyone attending brings folding chairs or ground cloth to sit on for the Saturday Night Campfire and Sunday Services.

_*Lastly, we still need Leader and/or Parent volunteers for the following areas: * _ -Flag Raising Ceremony Saturday Morning

-Flag Lowering Ceremony Saturday Night

-Setting up BB Gun and Archery Ranges

(Staked out areas will need to be roped off with caution tape and wire hung for targets)

-Saturday Evening Building of Campfire

(Wood is available, just need adults with pickup truck to haul wood to lake and build campfire)

-Saturday Evening Extinguishing of Campfire ( Need Leaders in Charge of organizing ALL WEBELOS to help with this)

-Campfire Agenda/Announcements (Need someone with a loud voice, as there is not a PA system available at Lake Tigator and I am not loud enough to do this job!!)

-2-3 Skits/Songs for Campfire

****Any Boy Scouts Troop or Venture Crews that are also available to help with our weekend activities, please contact me so that we can discuss. This event can count as your scout's service hours****

Any questions or concerns, please contact me at 985-351-1717.

Thanks,

Therese J. Fury
