Michele was always a very independent child, loving to stay busy and traveling alot in high school.
She
met Derek during one of her trips to Washington D.C. at age sixteen and they
began a long distance relationship.
She left home the weekend she turned twenty one; moving to Sacramento and attending Sacramento State University.
She worked between one and three jobs at a time and still maintained an active social life and getting through school.
After graduating in 1993 with a degree in English, she moved back home with her now fiance, Derek, living with her Dad for a brief period.
She and Derek were married shortly after her graduation, and his stint in the Navy. Their union lasted three years.
Thankfully, her sorrow and loss was fairly shortlived when she met Chris and his four year old daughter, Amanda.
Chris and Michele have been married for five years now and have given me another grandchild, Shannan Kylie Nizza, (whom we call Kylie),who is four years old.
Michele loved her job as a Managing Editor and was so proud of using the degree she had worked so hard for; however, it was not to last.
Michele has been very busy learning a new way of life since being laid off from her position in a local publishing company.
She has become a masseuse, specializing in prenatal massage, as well as a certified Doula.
Her family includes husband Chris, daughters Shannan Kylie (4) and Amanda Michelle (10), sons Christopher (18) and Marcus (16) and pets Fievel and Alvin. Harry Dog and Spunky Cat were recently laid to rest after many faithful years with the family.
