Buttermilk Rangers Living History Cavalry

Thank you for visiting the homepage of the Buttermilk Rangers Cavalry. We are a authentic mounted cavalry unit dedicated to accurately reproducing the true Confederate Cavalrymen of the Trans-Mississippi Department. Although it is not our primary impression, we also portray the mounted cavalrymen of the Confederate Army of Tennessee. Our members are located primarily in Louisiana, Texas, and Missouri. It is our intention to pay homage to those brave men of the War of Southern Independence by our attention to detail in all aspects of our impressions, without the influence of modern media, theatrical productions, or politics. We are a progressive/hardcore/campaigner unit and we wear that designation with honor. We subscribe to the "B.I.R.D." (Because It's Right Darn-it") principle, in all aspects of our living history experiences. We participate in quality living histories, historical interpretations, and battle reenactments. If you are a reenactor looking for something more from the hobby, or if you are simply a student of history and desire to get a more accurate glimpse of the life of a Confederate cavalryman, we invite you to check us out. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Buttermilk Rangers, or if you are simply curious, don't hesitate to email us at lmorgan@i-55.com
