An announcement that a certain party had agreed to pay off the Northern Ave property debt if the Seminary could raise money for the Lynwood property [$25,000]. The Northern Ave property is $40,000 in debt. Mrs. Pendleton pledged $500. I spoke to Bill - he invited me out for a snack with him and Jim, but I came home and went to Dale’s instead.

Group was Hal, Virginia House, Betty, Rosie, Tim, Jeanie and me.

We had a business meeting . “After dinner we got some kids and sleds ready and went out sledding. I toppled off the bobsled and strained a ligament I think. My leg is very sore and I can hardly move it. I took a hot bath and went to the banquet. It was excellent. Stan Powers is owner of the Auto Rest and really outdid himself. Hoyt gave a good speech and Barbara sang most beautifully. My leg pained me a lot. Mother rubbed it with camphor-stuff and wrapped it.
