Making Real Audio

You have some audio clips of various files that you want to showoff a band, a music album, or whatever....You wanna learn how to make realplayer files. So I'll tell you what you need how to use it and how to create your very own realplayer files.

The Black List

Instructions/Setup

First plug the part of the RCA Cable that looks like a headphone jack into your lineout port on the back of your pc. Next, plug the RCA cable into the white and red audio ports on the back of your tv, vcr, camcorder. If your tv doesnt have those in the back then use a vcr. If your vcr has some of the front DO NOT USE THOSE, use the ones in the back. (Keep your computer speaker hooked up and turn your tv all the way down so you can hear the sound from the tv play from your computer speakers.)
After you do that open up the sound recorder on your computer. Simply hit record and let it record some dead air for about 2 minutes and save it as "blank.wav" (without the quotation marks). Now that is your default file and whenever you get ready to record open that file press record and press play on your media simutaneously or close as possible to it) and when your media finishes playing you can press stop on the sound recorder.
After you have you .wav file save, you can install RealProducer which can be found in the Downloads sections on the site and install it. Stay Tuned for a more detailed description in the next two weeks. After you finish you can choose play and it will play the clip in your realone or realplayer and your done.

Additional Tips

You can make your audio more clear according to what the bitrate is of the original .wav file. The higher the bitrate the better sounding the clip is. Also, whatever type of media you are recording from, whether it is a vcr, radio, or tv has an effect as well. If its an old type of media then expect to have some air or background noise in it.
