Welcome to A1 Cajun

Have you ever wanted to find out about the Cajuns and where they come from? They have thier own lifestyles and thier own traditions. I came to find out that the public was starting to get interested in the Cajun way of life and all that has tried the food and recipes seemed to really enjoy. S
ooooo, I decided to make a site to let you learn of the Cajuns and give a few of my own recipes and let you hear some samples of our music. In my pages and links , you will find different music and dance of the Cajuns, the food and recipes they have, and things they believe in that they cling to as thier traditions.
I am a Cajun from Lake Charles, La. When I started with the internet, one of the first things I started with was to look up "Cajuns". The history of the Cajuns is very interesting. The things that we believe in , the food we eat, the music and our traditions. I was surprised to find out that how much the Cajun ancestery ran in my blood.
I am proud of my heritage as all other Cajun's are. We are a people that has seen hard times and we know how to survive. Just give us a piroque and some fishing string and we can live almost any place there is a river or bayou.
I will be adding other Cajun links to this page so you can find out all about the Cajun's and how they survived through a most revalent time back in the 1600's and how they came from France to Nova Scotia, Canada. I will also adding pictures of Louisiana; the beautiful old Oak trees, the nature trails the flag of La. and many other pictures of the State.
Louisiana has so many scenic routes and Azelia Trails. See the big old Southern Mansions and the small ol' shanties that the poor people lived in years ago. The state has so many places to see, that I couldn't get them all on one website.
Allons (let's go) and let's click on the
links and go see Louisiana. There are also Cajun Chat Rooms that you will like to visit too.

hsboat.jpg (9398 bytes)     Now, this is real livin'? I see that ol' Joe Blanc aint home right now! His piroques ain't parked anywhere in sight. I wonder if he is out fishin' or maybe goin' to a Saturday Nite Dance. No, he ain't goin' to the dance, I see his good jeans hangin' on the line out front. The wash tub is hung up on the wall and the "Keep Out" sign on the side of the houseboat. He could be out feeding that intruder to the gators. Just aint no tellin' where he is.
rivercypress.jpg (34781 bytes) Let's see if he is down the river.
Well, I don't see him here around the tall Cypress trees along the river bank, but the trees and the river sure is pretty.
Mais cher, there really is some good fishin' around these old trees. I can just see them under that water right now. Nice White Pirch and Gar fish, 5 lb. Bass and Gargoli.
I see someones boathouse over there, but everything is too still for Joe to be over there. We won't even go to look for him at that place.
