Terrestrial Tarot
This is a very unusual deck. It is an alien (as in extra-terrestrial life) tarot deck, but is based on Rider Waite style. Changes have been made to the Rider Waite order and suits, but they are clearly recognizable. The changes are that the high priestess is simply the priestess, the empress is the consort, the emperor is the ruler, the heirophant is the priest, the lovers is synergy, the chariot is the warrior, the hermit is the sage, the wheel of fortune is the wheel of life, the hanged man is inversion, temperance is balance, the devil is the unknown, the tower is creation, judgement is rebirth and the world is unity. Suits are swords, wands, cups and coins. Court cards are king, queen, knight and page. All cards are illustrated with these weird glowing alien things. There are four additional cards in the deck, which are earth, fire, water and air, so that the deck actually contains 82 cards.
The cards measure about 3 by 4.5 inches, and are large for my smallish hands. The card stock could be heavier, but isn't thin. I suspect the deck would be durable, but never use mine, so couldn't say for sure.
I recommend this deck for collectors and theme deck lovers. Symbolism is less than negligible, so I wouldn't recommend the deck for beginners. It is interesting, though.
