The Day After

Yesterday, September 11 2001,
America woke up to a sight
we prayed would never happen
again! But here we were, at war!

Like millions of other Americans,
I sat in front my television in
disbelief and shock as the first
tower of the World Trade
Center burned!

Fear gripped our hearts for the
ones that were in the buildings!
Then as we watched in disbelief we
saw a plane hit head on, into the
second tower!

And before our minds could even
believe what our eyes were seeing,
our Pentagon was hit!

And taking with them, thousands of
innocent Americans, who now join many
others who have gone before them at
the hands of terrorists!

My friends, "Prayer is a
powerful weapon, never grow
tired of prayer. God hears
the cries of His people and
He answers our prayers!

Never are we closer to our
Lord than when we call on His
name in prayer as we ask
for His guidance, His help
and His mercy on the families
who lost loved ones.

Pray for the families of those that
were left behind without parents,
grandparents, sons, and daughters.
Pray for, President Bush and all our
leaders, not only in New York, and
Washington D.C., but every State's
Governor and Law officers.

I pray God will give them wisdom and
knowledge to find not only the ones
that have carried out this attack,
but the country or countries, that
gave any assistance to bring this
act of war upon America and her
citizens!

Pray for the countries that stand
with America, watch over them
and keep them safe!

It may look like who ever attacked the
people of America, got away with the
attack upon American soil, but do not be
fooled, they did not get away with anything!

All of Heaven must have stood to it's feet,
as angels rushed to the side of those who
were facing their untimely death!

Our country will find the ones that are
behind this but remember, the ones that
hijacked those planes and killed all those
people, have met their punishment that will
last for eternity!

I watched as a cameraman gave a wider
shot of the area, and off in the distance,
I saw our Statue of Liberty!   She stood
tall, and proud and suddenly I remembered
a favorite Scripture of mine....

"We are hard pressed on every side,
but not crushed; perplexed, but not
in despair; persecuted, but not
abandoned; struck down, but
not destroyed.
~2 Corinthians 4:7-9~

Yes, America has been hit, and hit hard!
Yes, we have been struck, and struck hard!
But, no country, large or small can beat us
down, or destroy our American Spirit!
They can not touch the faith we have
in our God.   God hears the cry of the
innocent, He sees all, and will not let
those guilty of such an act
go unpunished!

American's will not remain in shock!
The only reason you will see American's
on their knees, is because we are not
too proud to bend our knees in prayer!

We will not sit down and allow fear to
rule us! As American's, we will rise
and stand to our feet and with hands
raised in freedom, not as captives,
or as prisoners!

Our hope is in our God and His vengeance!
America will come back with the strength of
many and we will not give up today, or
tomorrow, we never have and we will not
begin now!

America has never walked away from a fight
and we will not do it now.   Nor, will we
hang our heads or lay down in defeat.

We will stand shoulder to shoulder
and if asked, we will bear arms once
more, against those that come to take
our freedom or another American's life!

Yes, our Lady of Liberty, stands tall and
free. and with the help of each other and
our God, we will draw another line upon
each shore, and defend our God,
our Country, America and her people,
and our Hope in freedom for all
and our faith!

America is known as the, 'Home of the
brave', and land of the free, as one
Nation under God, and on this,
The Day After...

America is still, Standing even stronger,
and united as one, she is free and will
remain a free country, no amount of
attacks upon her soil can put a stop
to her people defending their homes,
and families!

When someone does, that is when
American's come back stronger
and stand side by side to
defend it's freedom, and her
people!
