daily duties and forget that

Do we thank You as we hurry

our way the best we can or say
something really wise like
"Get me through this one and
I will handle the next one alone."

Let one little event change our
routine and we turn to You for a
quick fix and ask,"Why?"

We cry out Your name and
there You are, with an out
stretched hand, to hold and
comfort as we seek the answers

Lord, let me not forget that
I am Yours, and that I can help
others, only when I have spent
time with You

Let me remember that You, and
You alone, can comfort me in
my hour of need

When I am alone and the nights
are cold, Lord keep me in Your
grace

Lord, it is You that dries my
tears and comforts me when all
others have gone

Many nights are long and lonely
yet, I feel no fear as I rest
knowing it is You that I trust
and lean upon.

Let me remember Lord, that You
are my source, and that from
You I receive all my needs
You are my friend who never
leaves, or turns from me

Just the mention of Your
name, and You are with me

Thank You for your love that
surpasses all understanding,
for Your Spirit that gives
such comfort and strength

Help me Lord, to see the
silent tears that others
cry and teach me Lord to
to give comfort to the
hurting and strength to the
weak, and sight to the blind
that can not see, the beauty
