My 98 Degree Expierences

My first Concert and first sight of 98 Degrees:

All That and More Music Fesitval:July 1,1999

The day had come I had waited for sense, well a long time! I was actually gonna see 98 Degrees in person! I was excited! I had counted down for months! I had my second cousin/friend over so we could get ready for the concert. I had spent 2 hours making the poster that read: Heat it up 98 Degrees in fire colors. It was cool. Well it was coming down to the last minute and I was rushing around the house. When I finally stepped out of the house my friend, Stephanie goes "There's a tour bus", my heart stopped. Then I realized it wasn't the 98 Degrees tour bus (that I ve seen on pictures). All of a sudden out of the corner of my eye I see it , the 98 Degrees tour bus went right by my house!! I couldn't stand, I was kneeling on the ground. What was going through my mind at that time was, there not in LA , New York City, or another country. They went by my house, that is in small town USA. My mom was scarred of what Id do when I actually saw them. After that we called my other friend Danielle and told her what had happened. She was shocked. Well we drove to her house because her mom was taking us to the concert. We get to where the concert is and thier is a huge line that moved surprisingly fast. I was just happy to be surrounded by other people who I had somthing in common with, a love for 98 Degrees. We got lawn seats but they weren't bad. I kept my eyes glued backstage. Then all of sudden I see Jeff, Drew , Nick , and Justin. I couldn't move or breath. Then it hit me where I was and I got my friend and said: " Oh my god I just saw them". Then all these people I didn't know asked me questions, What were they wearing?, where did they go?, and tell me if you see them again. After that I saw tham a couple of other times. When it came time for 98 degrees to come on I had what I thought were good seats. Then they came on and small me I couldn't see them. I had to jump up and down to just get a small glimpse of them.(I think I lost 20 pounds just jumping up and down!) I felt sick fom jumping so I moved away and then something just told me to go to the front. So I found a spot, and I wanted my friends to see them so I got them (almost broke my neck running down a hill in pltforms!) went back and we had the best spot you could get and not have front row. Im still in shock today of how good our seats were! They were only 15 ft. away and no one was in front of me. My friends let me in front because I'm short . Well I had my sign and I was doing every thing to have them notice me , so I was screaming, yelling, jumping showing them my sign. They probably thought I was a freak because I was screaming, believe me I never yelled as loud and as long in my life! Thats when I see Drew walking towards my friends and me. I was amazed that right in front of me stood Drew Lachey, it was kind of like a dream it was very surreal(dreamlike)To make it even more unbelievable he pointed at us and smiled ~~Ok right at this moment I want to freeze time because if you ever seen his smile on pictures it's even more better in person and being directed toward you~~~ok back to reality! I cryed and cryed little did I know that i was crying black tears because later i had black under my eyes! The song at that moment was Because of You and now everytime I hear that song it takes me back to that moment. At that very moment I can't hear the music or the screaming audience, I didn't care that i looked horrible fom sweating and the black under my eyes from crying. Then again I was watching Drew on the other side and My friend, Stephanie and I Saw Drew look over at us and of course we are jumping and screaming(acting like teeney boppers) and he smiled again, this time i was convinced i had died and gone to heaven. I mean no one has ever smiled at me and I cryed. I look back now and Im so embarresed! When the concert was over my friends and I were so hyper, happy, crying, and shocked that we were among angels and they smiled at us. The next day I got a call from my friend Stephanie and she said she had very interesting news to tell me. Of course I called her right away and she said that her mom's friend was working at the concert ,on the rock climb and she got to meet 98 Degrees. She said they were the nicest people. She also said that she was trying to get my attention during the concert so I could meet them. I never saw her though. I was upset with myself for not seeing her, but I came sooooo close to meeting them. That's my biggest wish is to meet them. I ould go against my fears to meet them! Thier concert is somthing I'll never forget, it was the best expierence i've ever had. If you love 98 Degrees as much as I do , take it from me you have to go to thier concerts!! They're amazing!!!Every day I am so grateful for being able to have seen them . They are soo amazing!!

My second concert and second sight of 98 Degrees

Heat It Up Tour: August 20,1999

Well, I didn't actually know I was going to this concert until a week before. I was up in my room thinking to myself "I would do anything to meet 98 Degrees, probably even eat fish eyes!" then I heard my mom say she had to talk to me. I was scarred (It's never good when your mom says she has to talk to you!) I went downstairs very carefully, saw my mom and she goes "what would you do if i could make your biggest dream come true?"~~(Me thinking)~~OMG Im gonna meet 98 degrees, OMG what if they are here?, OMG and Im in my pajamas!!!!!~~(End of me thinking) So I was crying and my mom told me I could get tickets for thier show on the 20th(a little disappointed but I was still so amazed!!!!) i was crying and shaking and laughing all at the same time! Well my sister wass gonna take me and I was happy because I rarely see her. Down to the main point, Im at the concert place and it's super muddy, i mean I wore white sneakers and they turned brown! I went to the right side of the stage to see if i could see anything backstage and low and behold who do i see? yup 98 Degrees!!! I could see them back stage getting ready for the show, no I didn't see them changing, I'm not a stalker besides they closed the blinds!! Meanwhile they had No Authority playing which in my opinion are really good too. After them was 98 Degrees, every now and then you would here these "teeny boppers" screaming because they put thier sign up I'm not sure but me I kept my eyes backstage. They come on in these alien type scary things and it's really cool because the announcer says in the year 2013, the next ice age occurs and our only hope is 98 Degrees.(somthing along those lines(hard to tell from screaming) They did most of there songs except still, If she only knew and she's out of my life. They did every kind of genre of music, of course thier own stuff, rap(eniminem(Our name is 98 Degrees), Offspring(too fly for a white guy(one of my favs they did!). Blues(Justin plyed a harmonica and sang). Prince's I wanna party like it's 1999, they also did Superstition, and Can't get next to you. They did alot and until you go to a concert you'll understand why it's hard to remeber all of the songs. I had a really good time though, I was dancing, singing, and smiling. Other people looked at me as if I was wierd but I wasn't the wierd one at a concert just standing there doing nothing except looking at other poeple around me instead of on the most wonderfully talented people in the world! Anyways at the end, confetti stuff exploded of the stage and I told my sister to catch one and then one just landed in my hand. So we left and my sister dropped the coffetti thing so I jumped in front of a car and got it!(not a smart idea!) well that's my second expierence , not as good as the first one I mean how could you top Drew smiling at you? This was still an unforgettable expierence and I loved every minute of it! I still encourage you to go to a concert if you have not done so yet, it's worth every single last cent, believe me it's worth it!! Well until my next expierence, when I will see them again, or maybe meet them ~~i wish for every star in the sky!~~

My third Concert and third sight of 98 Degrees:

Heat It Up Tour: October 13,1999

When I first heard about this concert I was driving home from labor day vacation. I was kinda sad cause I had missed there show at the New York State Fair. While I was on my way home I heard over the radio that 98 Degrees were gonna come to Rochester the next month! I was so excited, i started crying! I mean I know i have been overly blessed because i have been able to see them several times, but it was during a really hard time in my life, so they helped me get through alot! That weekend i ordered tickets to go. My mom went with me so she can see why i love them so much, and i took my friend Steph, her mom, and my little cousin Amanda, whose never been to a concert before. The day of the concert i was so happy!! I never thought i'd be able to see them once, let alone three times!!!!! So we get to the Blue Cross Arena and find our seats (which arn't that bad!). When the opening bands came out, the whole crowd was off thier seats! No Authority was awesome! I also thought Jessica Simpson was really cool! Then came the moment, when 98 Degrees came out, I swear i was in a dream! Im really short so i had to stand on my seat to see, which the BIG security people didnt like. I did it any way cause even though i was standing on a chair you couldnt tell i wasn't standing! The show was the best , My two favorite parts was when Drew was introducing Jeff and he asked the audience if they ever heard of Massilon, Ohio. The audience was all yelling and screaming. Drew then said in a very brooklen accent!, " You all Lyers , you ain't never heard of that town!" It was funny!! My other favorite part was when they were singing The hardest thing. My favorite part in that song is the " bye baby bye bye" so Drew was singing it and I was the only one left standing on my chair (so i then had perfect view of the stage!) I was screaming (not teeny bopperly) and singing along, waving good bye(cause it was thier last song) and then Drew stoped and just stood in front and waved good bye. I was waving back the whole time! That was my third concert.Ever since that concert my mom has become a fan of 98 Degrees herself!! Each of the concerts were very meaningful to me. So i encourage you, escpecailly if you love 98 Degrees, go to one of thier concerts!!! It is one thing to see them on T.V., but when you see them in person it is worth ALL the money in the world. There is nothing like it!!!
