~*~Sunday Worship and Goodbyes~*~

Sunday morning at Lakeside is always a special and emotional time for most. It is our time to finish up any resolutions or business, worship together as one in the name of Christ, say goodbye to those moving on, and welcome those moving in. This year, we finished up business rather quickly which left plenty of time for morning worship in Hoover Auditorium. WORSHIP WAS BEAUTIFUL! Ed Fashbaugh gave a sermon that told of many ways that we can all fill our cups (our souls) with Christ. After that there was an altar call in which many went forward with friends and youth leaders to reaffirm or to make their first commitment to Christ. It was wonderful! There were tears, smiles, and hugs everywhere. Steve Yoost made a speech to say goodbye and thank you to those who had been a part of his life. He reminded us all that WE inspire HIM as youth and that we must carry on in the name of the Son. After a beautiful "service", it was time to go home for most. St.C, as well as many other districts, had to say a lot of goodbyes. Youth and adults were hugging and crying because most will have to wait another year to see each other. I suppose absence makes the heart grow fonder....well, were all together in one way or another everyday. We are all one in God.

CCYM Executive Council

CCYM stands for Conference Council on Youth Ministries. Here is the executive council that will be leading at the meetings and heading up YAC next year. What a great group of young people who have found room in their busy lives to fit all of us in. God is totally awesome and they totally know it. Steve Is the Man

Here is Steve Yoost giving his goodbye speech to all those who attended YAC. Steve is an AMAZING young man. I have been fortunate and honored to have known him as a person and leader that past 2 years. He has left a wondeful memory of himself in my mind and heart as well as many others. If you get a chance to meet him, take that chance. I guarantee you will love him. God's light truly shines through his eyes and smile. The Kerlin Boys

I had to put this picture on the goodbye page because these two are really hard for us to let go of...along with there dad! Their family, the Kerlin family, used to be a big part of the St.Clarisville family and they are very much missed. WOW! Haven't those boys grown up!! Peter (the tall one) and Phillip (the cute one) hold special places in St.C's heart! We miss you and your family boys!
