Our Quads and their Modifications:

Here you find out more about our quads and the mods that have been performed on them.

Larry's quad:

'98 Yamaha Big Bear 4x4

From the beginning (mid 1997), I was ready to modify a 4x4 quad. I had read an article on a new lift kit from High Lifter Products, located in Louisiana, and had plans to lift my quad before I had even decided which quad to purchase!

Five months after claiming the Bear as mine, I gave High Lifter a call and ordered the lift kit for my quad. After that, I couldn't stop! High Lifter had all the accesories that a true "mud slinger" dreamed about.

So, I eventually ordered a set of Vampires and wheel spacers. Later, I installed a larger snorkel intake (my own design) and ordered the differential lock (I am one of the first to have the diff. lock installed on a quad) for added mud conquering ability!

Brad's quad:

'98 Honda Recon

After I purchased the Bear, my brother (Brad) decided to forget his '86 Yamaha YZ250 dirt bike and grab a quad himself. After much thought and reading many test reviews, he decided on the Honda Recon.

The Recon was a great performer in stock configuration, yet it still needed help in the mud. And we do love mud!

Tommy's quad:

'93 Honda 300 4x4

Tommy's quad has served him with reliable performance for many years. Recently he decided to have a few modifications performed on the eldest quad of our group. In order to bring the Honda up to par with it's rival (mud), he decided to go with what works.

Until these mods, the 300 had been entirely in it's original form, right down to the OEM Goodyear tires. And trust me, the stock tires just won't bring home the bacon when put in the ring with the thick mud that we ride in.

Bo's quad:

'97 Yamaha Timberwolf

Bo recieved his quad during the summer of '97, from his dad (Tommy). Since then, he has been rougher on this quad than a 3 year old with a TonkaTM toy.

The T'wolf seems to be a reliable quad. No mods were planned for this quad until the stock Dunlop tires stopped doing their job after they hit the slick mud.

No future mods are expected.
