The Dove

Sitting here, by the phone
Afraid I'll wind up all alone
But truly knowing, deep inside
That in this girl I can confide
My darkest fears, my biggest dreams,
How it feels when my inside screams.
I love her deeply, but do I know
That she really loves me so.
I believe in her, I trust her love.
Away goes the beautiful dove.
Now comes the time when she must go,
And as she leaves I tell her so
"I love you Suzi, and don't forget that the
Path you choose is your best bet.
Just trust yourself, listen to your heart
And I'll be there, always in your heart.

I wrote this for my girlfriend. I actually put music to it, too. So if you see this before I read it to you, I love you Suzi.

In The End

Sometimes I wonder where I'll get the strength
To continue on everday,
But when I see the happiness
That you bring into my life
I get the strength to move forward.
It's hard, sometimes
But, I know I can do it.
It's because of you.
You have brought me visions
Things I had never dreamed possible.
Now is the time
When I must really
Draw from your strength,
And at the same time
Donate mine to you.
I know things will be all right,
They have to be,
Because that's the way life goes.
And in the end,
Years from now,
We will look back
And see that it was a hard thing to endure.
And that because we did,
We are who we are.
Life is a never-ending battle,
It's damn sure full of its ups and downs,
But the fights we fight,
And the tears we shed,
All come to make us that much stronger,
In the end.
