Here's the Art Stuff

When I was a kid I used to sit and watch my dad paint in oils ... I remember the smell of turps very vividly. I guess he must have passed on some of his patience for that kind of thing to me although not enough to do oils. I work mainly in pencil crayons and pastels and I love to draw animals, like the Scottish Wildcat above, oh and the odd bird.

I've recently set up a small gallery page which I'd like to share. Let me know what you think! What I want to do is sell some work and donate part of the proceeds to wildlife conservation charities. It would be a crying shame to see some of our most beautiful creatures disappear as a result of man's ignorance and inability to accept that the Earth is something we should share, not dominate.

My favourite animals, by far are the big cats - nothing can match the sheer grace and power of these creatures. From the King of Beasts to the fastest mammal on four legs, cats have it all: majesty, agility, deadly skill and the appeal of a big squishy cuddly toy!

I wonder ... what would it feel like to rest your hand on a big cat's head while he purrs and rubs against you?

Did I mention King Arthur yet? Not that he has much to do with art ....
