     Victorian Lions Foundation
The Foundation was formed by the 201 V
Districts to act as a management committee to raise and disperse funds as needed for such projects as The Lions Eyebank (corneal transplants & cataract surgery), The Bionic Ear ( implantation to aid profoundly deaf people ), The Lions Diabetes Clinic ( a worldwide diabetes management and research establishment ), and many others.
The foundation initially sets up and funds the projects until they become self funding. Quite often a fellowship is arranged at a unversity.

    School Grants.
A system exists whereby the schools within the Clubs area notify the Club if a student is lacking funds to conduct their way through school ( inclusive of excursions ) in a manner less than acceptable to the Principal of that school.

    Community Service.
Any person who can be seen to genuinely need aid can be given manpower for transport, to mow lawns, repair houses and fences, gardening, painting, chopping wood ,etc.
