The Set of the Sails
It's the set of the sails, not he swiftness of
gait, which determines where we shall go; For
thought's right direction applied, saves our strength, where once we were tossed to-and fro.
The passage is guided, once we are led, to Him who will captain the ship; and His strong, steady hand reaches out should we fail, for He's always aware should we trip.
Those yesterday's problems when courageously met, prepare us to watch and to wait; once we know the setting of sails is our greatest concern, need we question the swiftness of gait?-Noordhoff
