At Days End
When twilight is falling, I hear a voice say, What use have you made of this beautiful day? Have you painted a picture or written a song and made use of talents your've had all along?
Did you offer your hand and willingly share the burdens that others were too weak to bear? Have you raised you voice this day to defend when somone reviled your neighbor or friend?
Did you cuddle a child and banish his fear and make him feel safer because you were near; Or comfort the aged, the sick and blind with words that were gentle, consoling and kind?
Did you pause in the midst of your labor or fun to ask God's forgiveness for wrongs you had done? We all learn the reason for being on earth by living our faith and by knowing its worth.-Holmes |
