There is an error in the parentage of Constance
L’Arche that is multiplying itself all over the
Internet. This error lists her parents as Charles
L’Arche and Charlotte Joffrion. That error came
from "Some Early Families of Avoyelles Parish, LA"
by Wm. Nelson Gremillion, Sr.
THIS is Constance Larch's TRUE baptismal record:

explains the Spanish spelling of the names.
Joseph Juneau dit Latulippe
Joseph Juneau & Constance Larch were married at
St. Landry Church, Opelousas, LA, 20 October 1781.
It's indexed under the name Gournor (or something
like that). The name of their parents weren't
on the marriage record but in the book Southwest
La Records by Fr. Hebert says his parents are
Joseph Juneau & Elizabeth Clermont. This is WRONG.
The other Joseph Juneau & Elizabeth Clermont were
actually Godparents for Elizabeth Juneau (Joseph &
Constance's daughter) and someone misread it to be
Grandparents.
