DeSoto Fire District 8 is located in Northwest Louisiana and covers 430 square miles making it one of the largest fire protection districts in Louisiana. DeSoto Fire District 8 covers all areas surrounding the city of Mansfield, the Villages of Grand Cane and South Mansfield and the communities of Naborton, Carmel, Benson, Pelican, Evelyn, Rambin,Wallace,and Ranchland Acres.
DeSoto Fire District 8 is proud to have achieved a class 4 insurance rating through Property Insurance Association of Louisiana effective October 4, 1999.
