Silhouette
It is late in the day.
The silhouette of my cowboy and his best friend is all I can see against the sunset.
They walk slowly enjoying the peace that comes from their comfort with each other.
They speak in a way few can understand.
There is a trust for each to do their part to take care of each other.
A respect, neither one more significant than the other.
I suppose in a way I envy their relationship.
I often wonder who he would choose if he had the choice to make.
But we each have our own place in his life.
Buck is his best friend and I am his wife.
