welcome to the peddler information site. here you will find information on team roxy's 1999 robot: peddler. this site is currently under contruction. i will add pictures and more detailed information latter. for now, enjoy.
peddler is a robot constructed out of alluminum pothole sheet. it is bolted together using the original pothole design. the overall cost of peddler is about 250usd. peddler uses a futaba radio and two duratrax hobbie speed controllers for control. the motors are custom designed with custom gearboxs by tonka toys (yep thats right, tonka toys) the wheels are also tonka toy rc car four inch diamiter pnumatic wheels (taken from special k). peddler doesent have much torque but it does have speed. and speed is all it needs to use its weapons: two sharp, custom spikes up front. connected to a easy relece system incase they get stuck somewhere. overall peddler has preformed well. it could use a better motor system and i might be replacing the motors soon with modified, industrial servo motors. servo motors have much more torque than the motors i am using now but they don't have speed. well, i will cross that bridge when i get to it. peddler will most likley be at the dragon*con or , hopfully, the bot bash in july.
here you see the top of peddler. the eletrical tape is temorary, it will be removed latter. you can clearly see the pothole sheet and the black electronics box, the wheels are four inch pnumatic, and have great traction.

during robot testing i learned the following things about peddler:
1.) peddler is realy damn fast, i need to have it clocked!
2.) peddler is realy damn hard to drive staight.
3.) peddler is much easier to drive backwards.
4.) peddler can spin very fast
5.) peddler looks realy good in the shiny sunlight!
