WomanCare Midwife Center
Thank you for visiting our page at Angelfire. It is still "under construction," so check us often to see our progress. We are a group of three nurse midwives and have been working in New Orleans Louisiana with working our collaborating physicians since 1991. In addition to well woman gynecology care, we provide prenatal and birthing services at Lakeland Medical Center, and Methodist Hospital,in New Orleans East, and at Tulane Medical Center, downtown and at Uptown Square. As nurse midwives we bring science to the ancient art of midwifery, being "with women" at the significant times during their lives. Our care is covered by most health plans, Champus, Medicaid and Medicare. We sponsor breastfeeding support groups, preconception and perimenopause workshops.
