My Cosplays!
Cosplayness!

Hmm.. self explainatory, ne?

San Mononoke
The Wolf Princess

This was my first ever anime cosplay, and i'm quite proud of it ^.^ Unfortunately my mask got sat on at some time during the car trip up and i had to super glue it together again in the hotel >.< paint was flecked off, but I was still proud of it damnit! Someone acctually came up to me and said I was the best Mononoke Cos they'd ever seen *blush*. NEway, I hand sewed everything to make it more "rugged". The 'claws' and earings are made out of claw that we only fired once. The mask was plaster cast over a bowl, then formed and painted. All in all the only touch ups I have to do to it for A-kon 14 is a new mask! GRAVY!
This costume was easy to walk around con in, specially shoe wize (jazz shoes on under the cloth) and the mask didn't really bug me at all. The only suckie part is acting the part! I had to be an evniornmetalist ploo all day long!br>

Azusa
Devil Hunter Yohko

Woot! Horrible piccie! Yay! Hmm.... I know I know the hair is the wrong color... but you don't want to know the hell I went through TRYING to get it right.. so I settled for platinum! Fairly accurate except for the weapon and the handguard, but this was a last minute throw together and I didn't have time to accessorize! Perhaps i'll add that A-kon 14.. doubt it I got lots of work to do on other projects and this isn't a neccessity. BTW.. yes satin is the SATAN of fabrics.. this costume took about 1.5 bottles of fray check -.-;
This costume was pretty easy to wear around Kon.. BTW I DID have the bandana ear thingies.. but they kept falling and were driving me nuts so I took them down =P The leg things fell a bit and i had to tie them back up a few times, but other than that it was pretty easy wearing. ^.^

RaiegynThe Dragon

Wooo... where to start on this one. OK this outfit was put together for Renaissance Festival and was my first dabble at costuming. The design is completely original, though I wish I could I can't take credit for the making of the entire thing ^.^() The gauntlets (my favorites! yay!), bodice, spikes, and tail(not in this piccie)Were all bought at different times and added to the outfit as i saw fit. But the rest is my creation!! mine all mine!! BWAHAHAHA.. *cough* ANYway, I really love this outfit, its a huge eyecatcher at Renfest and I get tons of photo ops (which I lap up with joy! hehee!) btw the coke is not a part of the outfit -.-;
Ah, the wings.. the eyecatcher of the entire gig. In the planning from the beginning as I was going to be a dragon, however they were very complicated. I had never made wings before.. and they couldn't be made with something simple like panty hose and wire. I was a dragon not a silly faerie! I ended up going with a dowel and wire combonation (which works really great because the wings bounce open and closed as you walk, cool!) nestled together in some PVC pipe and a bodice like harness. However the fabric of the wings is rather heavy (but very cool!) scaly patterend and the black part of the 'scales' is velvet so they have a really neat texture to them. So I work on the wings for a year and they end up breaking as I was putting them on in the hotel. Go figure. Anywho we finally rigged up a system with a bunch of metal piping, zip cords, and a janitors back supporting handy harness! LOL!! (All props for that idea go to my dad, thanks dad you rock!) hey go with what works! And work it did.. see!? see!?
As for comfort in walking around.. HA! Though the wing harness worked fabulously, and with the added bonus of the wings coming off easily, the metal piping pretty much kept my back rigid all day. Oweh. It wasn't anything I couldn't handle though, and I didn't take off my wings until the very end of the day (5:00) and send them home on the bus with mom. The tail was fun, even though it had to be straightened out a few times.. but it was a buy at the show and wear out without any experamenting in how to and it worked fabulous! The tail just makes the outfit.. (Thers a piccie of it in the Pics section.. go.. shoo)
Now Kelly's outfit was also one of my own design ::puffs out chest in pride:: She wanted to be a water faery and this is what i came up with. Very pretty and flowy, the ends curve out in wavelike patterns. The wings she had as well were really cool, though insanely simple. Blue poster board with shimmery wrapping paper glued to it cut out in spastic patterning. I really liked the look.. But she couldn't stand wearing the things for more than 5 min.! The sissy. Later on she bought a really neat aquatic colored feather headband kinda thing.. and it really accented the outfit! Maybe I'll be nice and remake her some easier wearing wings.... maybe....
