Hello..! I'm linton ...Let's walk down this Path..and I'll talk to you about MY UNDERSTANDING of

What Buddha showed us...............

Do You Know Buddha? Well I have been a buddhist my whole life...but I still do not know Buddha. If I knew him truly I wouldn't be still looking for him.....as an unenlightened being(Puthajjana).! Wait ..I know of lot of beautiful Buddha Images serene and all...I meditate a lot seated facing them.Sometimes Buddha smiles...An All knowing(Sabbannu)smile. Then I try to grasp this Image in my mind and suffer as a result....Well That is why Buddha said GRASPING or CLINGING is painful...Ofcourse we can lookat Buddha by taking a sign(nimittha)as Buddha. But does it complete the image?...It's only a reflection on an iota of Buddha' s virtues.True Buddha cannot be grasped with our senses. He can be known through knowing signless(animitta),another word for nibbana.

So if you are in my predicament you should learn to give up attachment to signs...Signs that enter through all six DOORS of senses....And Signless path will open up for you..Ofcourse It would appear gradually, and through constant vigilance(Sati) and contemplative meditation(samatha/Vipassana)...

Having done this repeatedly....I'm confident that I'll know and see Buddha oneday in this "wanderer's cosmic sojourn"(Samsara).

Now, That is called confidence(saddha). We develop Saddha first by seeing living buddha or else listening to his teachings and understanding it.Then we apply his teachings to our daily living...We practise, contemplate and meditate....These stages are called

virtue(Sila) and meditation (Samadhi)which ultimately lead to highest wisdom(panna).

Having seen with Panna this process severaltimes one finally Experiences total release of conditioned mind from attachment to all Signs( Ceto Vimutti) .That indeed is true Signless(Nibbana). That last is the moment of Truly knowing Buddha.(Vimutti Nana Dassana)
