1998-1999 SEASON...SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT

NOISES OFF

The side-splitting comedy by Michael Frayn, NOISES OFF is one hilarious season opener. A reminder that "the show does go on" even when it falls apart, this wonderful Broadway smash hit is a farce about farce. Mixing mockery and homage, it's a play-within-a-play with a hilarious melee of stock characters and situations.

Sept. 25-Oct 24, 1998 Sunday Matinees: Sept. 27, Oct 4, 11 & 18

ROMANCE/ROMANCE

A savvy little romp, ROMANCE/ROMANCE is an award-winning musical both on and off Broadway. Written by Barry Harman with music by Keith Herrmann, this sweetheart of a show is two musicals in one. Act I concerns a turn-of-the-century couple, determined that their meaningless affair will stay just that. Act II is the amorous adventuring of two sets of young marrieds on vacation in the Hamptons. ROMANCE/ROMANCE is sweet, fresh and charming entertainment that is perfect for those who want a change from the modern mega musical.

Nov. 13-Dec. 12, 1998 Sunday Matinees: Nov. 15, 22, 29 and Dec. 6

SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR

It follows an unusual love affair between George and Doris who meet by accident at a California inn in 1951 and agree to meet there annually. This show spans 30 years of their yearly encounters and captures the prevailing mood of America throughout this time.

THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF WILLM SHKSPR (abridged)

With uproarious fun and wit, THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF WILLM SHKSPR (abridged) was written by Jess Borgeson, Adam Long and Daniel Singer. Capturing the magic, the genius and the towering grandeur of William Shakespeare all in one performance, this hysterical show is not to be missed!
