The Evil Dead Trilogy is undoubtably the best horror/comedy movie ever made. Bruce Campbell gives a gritty yet comanding performance as Ash, the hero of the movie.It is a must see for all horror enthusiasts.
The movie starts out when Ash and his girl go to a cabin and discover a tape recorder. They play the recording that contains passages from the Necronomicon, or the Book of the Dead, and they inadvertently release The Evil. Then all hell breaks loose. Ash's girl turns into an evil zombie and she bites him on the hand. His hand also turns evil, so he and the hand battle it out in the kitchen(BLOOD,BLOOD,BLOOD!). He eventually has to kill his girlfriend with the help of a vise and a chainsaw that he uses to replace his missing limb.
Next Ash teams up with the daughter of the owners of the cabin and some other locals to put a stop to the evil spirits plan to take over. Ash finds a prophecy within the Necronomicon that depicts a chainsaw weilding savior and dismisses without realizing what is happening. They are eventually able to recite another passage from the Necronomicon which will send the spirits into a void. Ash is the only one to survive and he ends up being sucked into the void. He travels through time to the medieval past only to find out he is the chosen one in the prophecy.
