08/01/2005, 1:57 AM: As promised, (if a little late), for the first time in months, Sparks of Interest has been updated! Yay! It even has a slightly new look. Woo!
As for new looks, hopefully this past month you noticed the new main page look. That image on the main page is from an original piece of art I had that was in shades of purple, and it's now in Primitive Art! Primitive Art Gallery has 7 new original art pieces. I also eliminated the "Newest" gallery. I was finding it difficult to think of things to say about my art and it was a pain to update, so I'm going to just put my new art up in their respective galleries and keep it at that. If you want my comments and thoughts I express about my own art, you should check out my deviantART website where all my images have commentary. Holli's deviantART page.
My next planned updates will be a long overdue renovations to my Linkage page as well as the About Holli page (which has already had some minor repairs). Laterz!

Well, it is not time to celebrate! Today is this site's 6th year in existence! WOW. That is amazing that this site has lasted that long, with so few updates and the number of times Angelfire could have deleted this account by accident....
For the celebration, I will be updating my Art Gallery soon. And after such a long time, I will be updating Sparks of Interest again. You may have noticed the comic section disappeared. Well, it is indefinitely never updated, so some time in the future, my old comics will be showing up in their own section of the Art Gallery. Later.

I finally finished up classes and finals for this semester today...and yeah I haven't updated Sparks of Interest in what...a half year or so? *oops* Well, I have been busy, but now that summer is here and I will only be working and doing just a little dj-ing (instead of being too busy with Music Director duties like last year), I should have more spare time to actually update this site! YEESH!
Well, on that note, a bunch of new artwork is up in the Original Art section of the Art Gallery (6 new ones!). All of it is art I made for my various art classes I've had this past semester...in fact all were for Printmaking except one which was for VisCom. Well, anyway, you'll see what's been keeping me away from this site!
03/14/2005, 3:59 PM: HAPPY WHITE DAY!
LOL, well I've been up to nothing good on my Spring Break...I need to clean and go back to the rents' home at some point. But...do have a nice white day...and a random Photoshopped image of the Fullmetal Alchemist movie from me! Woo!
The original image is actually from a two page spread from the Japanese Newstype magazine...I just decided to have fun in Photoshop and reconstructed some of the imagery (like redrawing Ed's ponytail that was originally hacked in half by the spine-cease), even out the color a little, and place the characters closer together for the hell of it. The sky is still a bit uneven in color...but...eh, I don't care. Actually, I may crop and shrink it more and put it on Anime News Network's encyclopedia entry for this movie. Hmmmm....

1:11 AM: Woo! Long time, no update! It's been 2 months since this site's last real update, between my computer dying, schoolwork, holidays, weddings and trouble with this Angelfire account. I plan to update quite a few things and also to make a better main page layout than what I slapped up just now. Also, poor Sparks of Interest has suffered; no recommendations in the last two months! Well, Sparks will be updated this month, so stay tuned! Okay, I'm going to see if I'm going to get back to my Yami no Matsuei fandom right now or not!

06/02/04, 2:36 AM: Well, life keeps giving me hell, but I'm going to get back to updating this site again soon (my YnM site actually gets updated far more than this site).
Expect in the near future for Sparks of Interest to be renovated. Specials will be eliminated since they lack material and my interest. Also the Thoughts section will be eliminated. Ever since my online YnM friends have bugged me to actually use my livejournal, most of my random thoughts (plus info about my RL living hell) can now be found there, making the Sparks of Interest's Thoughts section pretty obsolete. So, can't wait for Fruits Basket manga next month! Just ordered it yesterday to insure my local Hastings's will get it! And big rumor about Yami no Matsuei manga finally being here in the U.S., licensed by Viz under the name "Descendants of Darkness" (same title as the anime release of it in the U.S.). 01/21/04, 10:39 AM: Yeah, it's been awhile since my last update. Unlucky for me, even though I have the minimum amount of classes for being a full student, the workload for them is outreagous. It's very aggravating. I'll relate to it in the Thoughts section in Sparks before the end of the month. Speaking of Sparks of Interest, this months recommendations are up, so read and enjoy! (minus one entry; I forgotten at the moment what I wanted that last recommendation to be; I'll put it up later today as soon as I remember)
I really want to draw up some new art for the site; but a contest and schoolwork is on my agenda right now, so until after March (yeah, March!) I may not be updating very often, only Sparks will be. Sorry, but that's how it goes!

12/24/03, 11:24 PM: Well, it's almost Christmas as I write this! Finally got my final grades! Three Bs and a C! That's very good for me, and hopefully and should be enough to remove me from acedemic probation! YAY! Now that I know, I can relax!
Some little more things on About Holli. A few edits, a plain black background, and 5 little semi-profile pics of sort on the top; different characters and characitures of me that are facets of my personality. That's it! Hopefully my thoughts for Sparks will be up before the month is (and the year!)
Have fun and...I'm not very religious on my site very often, I'm not being uppity or preachy, and I know and respect that everyone is not Christian, but try to remember what tomorrow is suppose to truly be about! Yay, Jesus! ^_^

10/17/03, 12:16 AM: Yay! Sparks of Interest has been updated with recommendations and thoughts. The picture category was elimainated, but that was due to the pics taking up too much space, plus being kinda of pointless to me. Expect more thoughts sometime, as I plan (or at least want) to write more funny stuff on the Thoughts page, but at the moment, my mind is pretty blank. After taking a Japanese midterm test, your mind tends to want to space out for awhile.

09/07/03, 10:28 PM: New section! But it's not for kids! It's a fanworks-based shrine for Yami no Matsuei called The Sweetest Way to Die! Cheery, eh? So far there is only one fanfic and one fanart, but it'll be added more to soon! Don't visit this shrine unless you are old enough to do so! And are comfortable with shounen-ai/yaoi themes. And I mean that! I have warnings all over the place, so it's you're own fault if you get damaged! NYAH! :P
09/03/03, 1:16 AM: Well, big thing is that Puffy's Reviews now has it's own site called PUFFY HAMMERHEAD! It still needs some tweaking and some new pics and other jazz, but for the most part, the site is completely up, running and done!
Expect the Sparks of Interest for this month to be up sometime this week/weekend/couple weeks. I'll try to have it up before the middle of the month. It's also going to get a very, very slight adjustment also. That's it, I have more homework to do and sleep I must get! Bye!

I have decided finally to not move the site to a new address. Too much hassle. And, Angelfire got rid of the big ugly banners. So, to say the least, I have a couple of accounts set up if I ever do decide to move the site in the long run. ^_^ However, Puffy's Reviews is still going to be moved to a site of its own...but it'll still be awhile before that happens. That's it!

Well, real updates won't be coming for awhile, though I will be keeping you up to date with the progress of the site's moving. I have put up with Angelfire as much as I could, and seeing the new banners on the pages yesterday was the last straw. I was pretty content to just move this site to a new Angelfire address, but there are these new ugly ads now on the bottom of every single one of my pages because my account is a free account. Besides, my site is constantly going down from too many visitors and now these banners. Well, I'm trying to move most of my main sites to Geocities now, or at least this one, including Puffy's Reviews. Geocities offers 5 less MB than Angelfire, but I'm willing to try something new, since they don't have huge ugly ads all over the place.
I'm just going to make Puffy's Reviews its own site now, definitely. The site will be called Puffy Hammerhead, and it'll be hosted at Geocities too. It'll have my anime and manga reviews of course, a few miscellaneous things, plus a comic series that will be updated occasionally, that I wanted to launch originally on this site. However, I'm trying to move my main site right now, so Puffy's site won't be coming up for awhile, since I have to design a whole new website, and I want to revamp the designs of the old reviews. Plus I can't even finish moving this site until I get back to my college town where I can acess less crappy computer's than my parents'. But, when it's ready, I'll let you know and link to it (probably as an affiliate).
Till then, keep your eyes open for when this site moves to Geocities!

I have finally decided to not rename the site since so many know it as Holli the Genet, and it has gained some recent popularity, so all the more reason not to change the name. However, I have decided to move the site to a new address, that is still here at Angelfire, but this address will be shorter and is already registered. As soon as I get back to school, the moving process of this site will really take off, but for now, I'm doing what I can on my parents crappy comp with a bad connection, that doesn't like to save pictures the way it's suppose to. So for the most part, I'll be getting all the html of these pages transferred to the new address, but most of the pictures won't be moved till later. This process will probably take a month, so keep your eyes peeled for when the site finally moves and is officially open.
Also, noticing the fact that my site is going down more often because of it's very recent and new popularity, I have finally decided to make Puffy's Reviews its own site, even though it will still be a part of this site. Puffy's Reviews is probably the most popular section of the site, so if it gets its own address, chances are it and this site will not go down quite as often if they have different addresses. I didn't want it to get its own address since I want it to still be a section of this site (and it is), but it looks like I'll have to. *sigh*

I also revised the rules for becoming an affiliate to this site, which is located as a link on the main page.
The new format I'm thinking of for the main page is still brewing in my head, on what I want to do exactly yet. In any case, the resulting artwork from my ideas will at least be added to Primitive Art! Bye!

07/31/03, 11:37 PM: Done tweaking the main page! Hope you like the black and white setup with shades of red! When I get tired of seeing red (lol), I'll probably change the page to exactly what is is now, except everything that is red will be skyblue (can you tell I like that color?). I figured I'd make it red first, since it popped out more and make you look at Kohoshi's eyes (the girl on the mainpage) more than the skyblue and also the mainpage had been shades of white and skyblue since at least March. Why change it to skyblue later? One, I prefer skyblue to red. And two, Kohoshi has skyblue/blue almost white eyes in the first place (though I guess that really doesn't matter).
Hope you like the format! I'm going to work on Sparks of Interest now for August 2003!
4:04 PM: New art I made just so I could have a new main page pic. I don't know if I'll keep that image on the main for long, but then again I can't think of any of my other art that I would want to use either. So, I'm going to tweak the main page a bit more, since I'm not too sure if it looks very good yet or not. So, it may be adjusted a bit more later today.
Two versions of the new art piece are now on display in Holli's Newest and stored at Original Art at Primitive Art Gallery. Enjoy!

07/29/03, 11:22 PM: Sorry for the lack of updates! I have spent the past 2 days or so here at home w/o my family (they went on vacation w/o me. YES!) revamping and updating my Unico site that has long been unattended and was getting sad in state. So, this site had to go on the backburner for awhile. LOL, and also I've actually been having a social life lately!
Well, there was an update for the dubbed version of Yami no Matstui at Puffy's back on the 13th. That's about it, except for the new warning blurb on the main page about when this site goes offline occasionally because of excessive bandwidth and some not really important little revisions on the page about me, About Holli. Well, I am working on the comics, and doujinshi still, and I hope to put more art into the gallery sometime! And my new Sparks of Interest for next month are already in the makings and being created in my scary head! So, until the next update, bye!

Still working on comics and doujinshi (working on doujinshi again, since my doujinshi for the contest was a cliffhanger; except now I'm not in any kind of rush to finish it). I still want to draw some Gohou Drug fan art! :( *pouts* I have a blister from a burn I receive at work on my hand, so it was hindering me for awhile. *pouts more* Ah well, I have chores (damn!) to do today also, besides my creative fun for this site. If I don't do stuff around my parents' house and help out, the bathroom will remain unclean, the laundry not done, and my mom will not be ready to teach Vacation Bible School tomorrow.

Few brief notes: Sparks of Interest's Recommendations have been updated! Thoughts will be written up pretty soon, but not right now since I'm incoherent from lack of sleep as I type this. I actually have some very interestingly weird and random stuff to rant about this month, but I can't remember exactly what right now...so I'll try when it's actually daylight later! Also, Pictures will no longer be updated on a monthly basis, just when I feel like it and only when I find really neat pictures I like, to save space at this site.

Heh, heh, if you're a shounen-ai/yaoi Hikaru no Go fan, check out the doujinshi I donated at hikagoyaoi.org (don't visit this site unless you're ready for adult material). I go by the name "Horned Cube" for this site and other shounen-ai/yaoi stuff. I have a really dirty doujinshi to donate to them soon too...heh,heh,heh. So, scanning this doujinshi has kept me busy too.
Well, life has been busy, but I've got a lot done on the sites, even with working a week straight at two different summer jobs, which has kept me extremely busy. So until next update, wish me luck on not going crazy!

Well, I'm getting the hell out of college for the summer, and I have to go back home...I can't stay in my college town. ERGH!
Well, tomorrow I will be leaving to spend two days at my friend Sarah's house before we leave for...ACEN! Wish me luck and safety on my trip, since I have a lot of stuff to get done and figured out before this Thursday! It's going to be my first anime convention ever! ^_^ It's all gonna be about me trying to find Yami no Matsuei, Love Mode, Fruits Basket, and D.N.Angel stuff! *grins* ^_^
So, I'll see you guys later, after this week and all the other crazy stuff that will happen afterwards! Afterall, I'm sadly missing my best friend's graduation for this trip (DAMNIT!) and my little sister's confirmation (DOUBLE DAMNIT!). So, I feel really bad about that, but I've been planning this trip for a whole year, so my best friend and little sister understand. I'm glad they do.

If you don't know what White Day is: In Japan, Valentine's Day is a celebration for girls to give gifts to guys they like. But, then the guys have a turn to give gifts too, on another holiday, called White Day. And that is today, March 14! Tah-dah! So, Happy White Day!
03/13/03, 11:44 AM: New pictures in Primitive Art! Check them out (plus a little new formating on the main page with a new pic)! I hope you like the new main page image. I like it. ^_^ I put the quizzes on their own page in Miscellanous so it's not so crowded on its main page. I hope to make more art (I have at least one rough draft of a pic that I'll be making a final version of soon) today and tomorrow for your viewing pleasure. I'm still working on reviews in Puffy's Reviews and I will probably add to the Favorite Thoughts section of Sparks of Interest sometime today, depending on if people bother me here at home or not.
I got my Hikaru no Go shounen-ai/yaoi art piece submitted to that contest I mentioned yesterday! I probably won't win anything, but it's funny anyway! *grins and giggles evilly like a teeny bopper on crack*
