nepenthe

eep.. i guess you found my hidden page. well you are probably more persistant than the others who have been here *l*, they didn't even sign the guest book, so go figure..
i did make one other page once, self inflicted, but most of you probably wouldn't know that, because you didn't know me then. this one is more about me than the other one was. i have been on-line for about 2½ years now, and most of that time was either spent in the chatroom (the halloween party and then the experimental lab and then the halloween party again) or i was working on my page.
i don't do either as much anymore...
sometimes i miss the people i've met on-line..and i really do miss chatting with them. sadly most of them have gone their own ways..and it's probably about time that i did as well..

i've gone by several different handles in the past. i still remember all of them though..
a few older ones are:
inflicted
asphyxia
(though i see someone else is using it now)
amorphia (after the Greek god Morphious and the word amorphous, shapeless, formless, not conforming.)
the newer ones don't get used that much anymore..
nepenthe
nesuferit
(not to suffer, I've also heard it was a Romanian myth or something like that..)

several people have asked me what nepenthe means...more often than i can recall. so if you took the time to discover all the links on my page you should have found your way to here. unless of course, i got lazy and just sent you here from the chats *l*, you should know what i mean if i did...yes i got nepenthe from the raven. if you didn't already know, or i haven't told you, here is what nepenthe means.

nepenthe- in mythology, a potion believed to relieve sorrow.

or, if you prefer, the denotation

It's an opiate, first mentioned in Homer's 'Odyssey', that brings 'relief from troubles and grief'
