Each year an organization, AEE- Acadiana Educational Endowment, sponsors minigrants in 8 local parishes (counties). Most grants are approximately $500. These grants help teachers fund small projects in their schools.
My grant, entitled "Meteorology In The Classroom", was funded for the 1998-99 school year. The following are lesson plans I have written for my three 5th grade science classes.
Some of the materials called for in the lessons were purchased with the grant money. I have tried to give alternatives for those items if possible.
It is my hope that teachers/parents can find at least one idea that will enhance their own lessons.
