Why Are the Rainforests Being Destroyed?

Rainforests are cleared for many reasons. The reasons of destruction all depend on the location of the rainforests.

In Brazil, for example, rainforests are cleared for grazing land for cattle. Brazil is the leading exporter of beef to the United States to provide companies with beef products. Another reason is OVERPOPULATION. The world is becoming so densely populated in some places that rainforests are having to be cleared to make room for more recreational space.
