Paros

White-washed homes cluster along a spine of the Greek archipelagos.  The restless blue waters call the mind to dream.  The wind through the grasses and brush whisper a provocative geometric mystery.

She is a Greek isle.

The Cycladic Islands  orbit the island of Delos in  the center of the Aegean Sea.   Humans have found them suitable for making wine, catching kalamari, quarrying marble and so on for 5 or 6000 years.

Cycladic figurine with arms crossed

Marble Cycladic figurines dating from 3000-2000 BCE are found all over the Aegean.  They typically exhibit the more prominent features of women.

Sunset over Paros
Another day has ended over Paros.  The sun seems to vanish into the sea.  Pour another glass of retsina, take a bite of feta.
You are arrived.
