| With Hurricane Katrina the City of New Orleans was closed and all pending weddings cancelled by the Mandatory Evacuation Order. Most all pending wedding couples contacted me making alternate plans and locations. I am open and staying on the North Shore just 49 miles north of the City. Many alternate locations are available in Jefferson and St. Tammany Parishes. Contact me for details. The famous New Orleans Hotels will open in January 2006 and Pirates Alley will open in a few days. If you want to get married contact me for details on what can be done. Marriage licenses are available in Jefferson and St. Tammany Parishes at the Clerks of Courts offices. Dr. JK Schwem has performed numerous weddings in the Greater New Orleans Area for the past 15 years. He is a former Justice of the Peace and Ordained minister since 1989. He has a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University and an Honorary Doctor of Divinty degree. He is available to perform your personalized wedding ceremony either Civil or Religious at your selected location. Contact him for his fees to officiate your wedding.
