He was admitted to the Lousiana State Bar in May, 1980, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana. Michael D. Brown received his preparatory education from Cleveland State University in 1975, and his legal education from Southern University Law Center in 1979. Michael D. Brown is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.; Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity; Louisiana State Bar Association; National Bar Association; and Louis A. Martinet Legal Society. Michael D. Brown is a past Board Member of the Louisiana Child Support Enforcement Association (LCSEA), and a Past President of (LCSEA), 1995-1996. He has also served as Past President of the Southwest Regional Support Enforcement Association (SWRSEA), 1991-1992. Michael D.
